I like the option of selling my games and buying used games. If Microsoft makes my games less valuable to me by limiting my options then they should be cheaper. I've heard nothing alluding to this officially.
I'm running Win8 Pro on my laptop. The OS weighs in at about 25GB which means the rest of the bloat comes from the pre-installed apps. Can they be removed?
I wonder why Apple took this route. When they introduced the iPod they made an agreement with Line 6 who owns the mark Pod for the guitar effects processor.
2 Draws, 1 Google 2 Bings for me.
I only have personal knowledge from black women who don't want to perm their hair anymore. It's a huge statement for them for accepting themselves as they are. They share hair style information, hair care and support each other in cases where employers deem braids, for instance, as unacceptable in the work place.
Powershell isn't a wrapper for CMD. It's a separate interface for WMI, COM and .NET.
Blocking technology based upon the perception that it could be used illegally isn't sound reasoning especially from a company that advertises their file sharing feature as ideal.
Reminds me of this anecdote.
Your camera takes great pictures.
Thank you. Your mouth gives great compliments.
Twitter requires no ID to create an account. The account could have been Carreon in so much as Twitter knows. Even Facebook, which requires your "real name", has no idea if you are who you say you are.
Current Windows 7 phones are getting updates, 7.8. Contrast this with the original iPad which won't get ios 6 and it was released in 2010.
Windows 8 has native Active Directory support for device and user management. That along with ActiveSync and I think the phones and tablets are for the enterprise.
Great point. Another great feature is USB. My investment in various USB devices isn't obsoleted.
Not all but certainly any Windows user who is considering a tablet.
Many laptop users dock them at work for use with a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
People who travel a lot may find good use also. Work and play in one package.
MIcrosoft succeeded in giving PC users another high quality tablet path.
Enterprise users can use Windows apps the rely on for work and still enjoy a tablet experience.
If they nail the keyboard/touchpad feel then this solves the need to buy a laptop and a tablet.
Simply copying someone's idea isn't always enough to being successful with it. Google+, a social network clone, still can't compete with Facebook. All of the Instagram clones don't have anywhere near the amount of users that Instagram has. Execution of an idea is what counts.
I did not tell anyone to marry, let alone tell gays to marry straight. I never said that gays weren't treated badly. I also never said that gays should pretend they are not gay to get married. Nothing I said was false or was meant to slight gay people.
My comment was a response to someone comparing the two plights. For me, the differences are worth discussing.
Actually everyone except blacks could vote. Contrary to popular belief, gay people can marry, just not same sex. This isn't a statement against same sex marriage, I'm just making a subtle distinction. Gay people have never experienced the maltreatment that blacks have in this country.
I don't see any similarity between the two. Blacks were trying to obtain equal rights. The right to marry same sex is one that no one has, not just gay people.
I don't think that law needs to get involved too early (if at all) in tech innovations. I do think society will determine whats correct and whats not. If a dispute arises then courts and lawmakers should be involved.
I couldn't reply to repsilat for some reason.
I agree mostly with your statement except that we are speaking about legal terms. It's important to make the distinction between theft and copyright infringement laws. They were made for very different purposes.
It's not semantics. If that were the case theft laws would apply and they don't.
Whether or not copyright infringement deprives copyright holders of a sale is very difficult to substantiate. Which is why courts decide it.
Compare that to actual theft. If someone steals my phone, I can't use it anymore.
Music production costs are the lowest they've ever been.
Copyright was created as an incentive to create. Personally I believe that if there were no copyright law, musicians would still create.
I don't think theres any justification for piracy.
That being said, there is no way to own music. A musician owns a copyright. He has to choose if it's worth the effort to enforce that copyright or think of a way to thrive despite piracy.
I use the Evernote plugin in Chrome as a delicio.us replacement. I clip blog posts and sites adding notes and tagging them for future reference. It's a notebook for my life.
Does Windows Phone have Zune's functionality?
The look on Bill Gates face. Priceless.
Great! I joined as well. Into_Now has a feature where you can choose to post what you're watching to Facebook. This might be a good feature for you site and help connect people. Good luck!
I think it's very creative. It really got my attention and made me curious.
I agree with SethBroomer concerning 'itsworthit." I was looking for a bigger payoff than the well done layout and curious quotes.
I was looking for a big point to be made at the end. "How is dayri.me a brand new way?" Is the question I left with.
I clicked on my profile, history, then I clicked on my name. It just says loading now... ??
