I think you have to hand it to Google, that is really next level deep analytics. I feel it would be hard for most companies without huge investment to do this (or maybe not).

It is like the reverse of a "customer survey" that instead of asking and getting an arbitrary number, instead of really detailed level of service performance.

6% is pathetic increase and stronger sign how little people engage on the platform.

The engagement ratio of Instagram to Twitter is several orders of magnitude off.

You look are Redbull on both platforms. Twitter they have average of 40 retweets and 150 likes/faves, plus some replies. Instagram they have 50-80k likes and 100 to 1k comments.

Even if twitter had 1000% increase that would not help the platform where there is so little active engagement.

Other example is being present if a close friend has something deeply emotional going on. Ideally you should try to stay present with the emotions both with the other person and yourself. If you kept feeling, "lets move on with this", that would not be supportive.

Great work. Big innovation in taking a clunky method of crawling info and turning it into something extremely elegant with how its outputted and someone can work with it.

Ive been working with a personal coach recently and at the start of each session we start with a guided 2-3 minutes of mediation practice. One way to do on your own is with mp3's and doing on your own. Really from my personal experience thats not expert driven at all, even doing 5 minutes a day before you day starts is a great way to start for weeks or months on end. Just those 5 minutes of calm and awareness can do a lot, it has for me.

"query deserves freshness" is part of Google's algorithm so it knows to rank the newest articles at the top. It works great for news driven sites, works bad for e-commerce type sites that restock older items but they get outranked by a news site.

I can't believe Page didn't know the name of the companies they have acquired so far in 2012.

They bought Milk (Kevin Rose) & TxVia (some type of mobile payment company)

I currently use the $100 plan on Authority Labs and their delayed reporting is incredibly frustrating. When it works it great to get detailed and exact ranking stats on keywords. When I can't get reports and keyword data is delayed 1+ days, it sucks.

I will give those other services a try.

This is good logic but its impossible to know who is buying all the ipads. Whenever I see real customers behind an online store of any sort, they are almost always completely different from what myself and the store owner would imagine.

I was an early user of Posterous and got our whole company to setup multiple sub-domains when each of us tweeted out photos. At the time it was the best because you didn't have any ads showing up alongside a photo (like twitpic). Im sad to see posterous otherwise give up and just move to twitter. I feel like if they would have kept innovating 2-3 or so years ago then they would be at a much better place. What are their goals before they got bought? It wasnt clear to me.

G+ is absolutely a ghost town on everything except SEO, photography & tech news.

The company I work does womens fashion marketing for bigger e-commerce sites retailers and designers. I was researching over the weekend to find any designer on G+ and couldn't find anything. There are some active bloggers but most get no +'s or the profiles havent been updated since 4 or 5 months ago.

From my 2 or so hours of research trying to find any thread of activity, most women sharing content are definitely not doing it on Google plus.

Yesterday I started working on a "panes" page for a project and I think shifting the pane so it appears like a stacked paper make a lot of sense after seeing it in action.

Agreed. From the video it seems like this is a great way to see overviews of what is going on. And the overview seems really simple like a natural jump from current to Next. That is a big problem I have with current basecamp. I never try to read and think about the overview page cause it is so confusing. I am either in to-do or messages. Never in overview. I can't wait to get our company basecamp moved over.

At work I have a 13" mbp with 24" cinema display that I rarely take home. Then at home I have my 27" imac so I primarily leave my ipad at home and use it at night to do more long term web reading. Like if there is an insightful multi-page article thats not just for quick skimming. Also use for some stupid games, reading on kindle app, and occasional email if I forgot to send out something before I went to bed.

Amazon studios 15 years ago

Does anyone in the comments actually have experience in working with agencies like CAA & William Morris besides watching Entourage? It is hard to tell the full details & long term prospectives with Amazon studios but Hollywood is about 100x harder to work into compared to any online app or service. An online service you can build & market anywhere and it doesn't matter who you know. Hollywood is exact opposite, you can write it from anywhere but you need to be working in LA and be friends with plenty connected people and work with good agents, lawyers, management, etc.

This probably one of Andrew's best interviews. In my recollection- every piece of press or articles written about him/groupon have been focused on the negative fact driven parts that defines groupon.

I did see glimmer of hope that he is a passionate ceo focused on making his dream of his business become a profitable reality. Right now it is leaning that his dream isn't sustainable but you never know.
