yes, to a lot of extent.

I mostly look for side projects on github and past experience.

A new wave of abstraction is reshaping software engineering. Each pushed machine code closer to humans or made software easy to build:

Assembly → C

C → Python/Ruby

Manual memory mgmt → GC

Bare metal → VMs → Containers → Kubernetes

jQuery → React/Next.js

PHP+HTML → Web Frameworks like Rails/Django/Express

On-prem infra → AWS → Serverless

And now, we’re seeing AI builders on top of the app layer.

Personally, I started with ChatGPT as “Google++”, then Claude Code → OpenAI Codex → and now I’m again trying Claude Sonnet 4.5.

Not sure where this abstraction wave ends. Feels like we’re heading to a point where software writes itself - no humans needed.

I think it's not going to be easy for them to get that market share from google especially since they’re doubling down on AI themselves.

Honestly, I don't find any AI browser out there that is actually useful to me. All those shiny new features fade away once you start using them in your day-to-day life. I am not able to understand why I would automate something like browsing the web with AI. All I need is a good utilities-based browser that makes my browsing easy. Arc does a good job, but it's sad to see that they are wasting their time on a useless Dia browser instead of making Arc great.
