Indeed | Software Engineers, Product Managers | Austin, Seattle, and Remote (US or Canada) | Full-time | Salary listed on each job page | https://www.indeed.jobs/

Hundreds of millions of people use Indeed to find jobs. We crawl job listings from all over the Internet, and some employers post jobs directly on Indeed. You can check out some stories from job seekers here! https://gotajob.indeed.com/

I am part of Indeed Incubator, where we prototype experimental features. Multiple times a year, people across the company pitch new ideas, and some of them are approved for development. A majority of features get shut down, but the successes get acquired by other teams at Indeed.

Here are some examples:

Indeed Hiring Events allow employers to hire in bulk: https://www.indeed.com/employers/hiring-events

Virtual Hiring Events allow employers to hire through video interviews.

Through Indeed Certifications, job seekers can learn more about certifications to do certain jobs: https://www.indeed.com/certifications/

The “I Got a Job!” site listed above with stories of job seekers.

Here is a blog post written by someone at Incubator: https://medium.com/indeed-engineering/the-mature-startup-1f2...

Our Sr. Director of Engineering describes Incubator here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pV5BxTdKBo8

We are currently hiring Software Engineers and Product Managers for Austin, Seattle, and Remote (US or Canada): https://www.indeed.jobs/available-jobs/?sr=incubator

The base salary range for each job is listed in the job posting.

If you are interested (in Incubator or another role at Indeed), feel free to email me at: rcheng@indeed.com

Triplebyte tests candidates with the types of questions they'd get at Software Developer interviews.

Hired does not.

Thus, candidates on Hired that are attractive to recruiters are due to their resume, so they already get solicitations on LinkedIn, and easy access to interviews.

On the other hand, someone with a less "glamorous" resume could pass the Triplebyte screening process, and that gives signal to recruiters that the candidate is more likely to pass their company's interview process.

Hi y'all. Some of the comments here are mentioning some of the technical issues that this system has.

In addition, the license that it uses has restrictions and is not OSI approved, so some people wouldn't call it Open Source.

Is there demand for an Open Source Applicant Tracking System to be created?

If you would be interested, please comment here: https://github.com/rhc2104/hiringhats/issues/1

I personally find OpenCATS's interface confusing. Also, it seems to rely on having the applicant enter structured data, rather than embedding the resume on the candidate's page, which is a worse experience for both the candidate and resume evaluation.

As far as the license, this clause is limiting for some businesses: "You may not use the Licensed Software to operate in or as a time-sharing, outsourcing, service bureau, application service provider or managed service provider environment."

Indeed | Software Engineer, Integrations | Austin, TX | ONSITE | $116,000-$142,000 plus bonuses and LTIPS

Indeed is the #1 job site in the world with over 250 million unique visitors every month. I feel proud to work at a company that helps all types of people get jobs. We even have an app called Job Spotter https://jobspotter.indeed.com/ where we pay people to take help wanted signs, which we put on our site to show even more job listings to job seekers. If you'd like to read stories from people who got jobs, you can visit https://gotajob.indeed.com/

I am currently hiring the first Software Engineer in Austin to build out an Integrations Engineering team. The idea behind the Integrations Engineering team is to focus on integrating data sources, and become the go-to experts in that domain. This includes being knowledgeable about the MuleSoft platform, building infrastructure to help make future integrations easier, and helping other teams with their integrations. A significant portion of the work is not MuleSoft-related, and MuleSoft experience is not required. As the first Software Engineer focused on Integrations, there is the potential to grow into the go-to expert for Integrations at the company.

The job listing is not live yet, but will go live soon. If you're interested in applying, please email me at rcheng@indeed.com .

In addition, there are other jobs available at https://www.indeed.jobs/ . We are currently hiring engineers in Austin, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hyderabad. If you're interested in other jobs, you can also email me at rcheng@indeed.com . We are proud to list base salary ranges for all of our positions, and our bonuses and LTIPs can yield significant additional compensation.

I created SkillUpper because I was thinking about how Computer Science learning could be more interactive.

Codecademy pioneered a more interactive REPL style of learning for basic programming.

I felt that this interactive step-by-step approach could be used to learn other parts of Computer Science more efficiently.

Because of algorithms being highly represented in software engineering interviews, it seemed like a good place to start. But this step-by-step format could also be used to teach other parts of Computer Science.

Facebook | Solutions Engineer | Menlo Park, NYC, Seattle, Austin, London, Dublin, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong | Onsite

Solutions Engineers at Facebook spend roughly half their time working with product engineering teams and writing production code. The other half of their time is spent working directly with partners to develop and execute their Facebook technology strategy.

We find that this setup is great for engineers that want to spend more time on the business side of things or have more people interaction while still being hands on with code.

This allows large advertisers to work directly with people at Facebook that have a knowledge of the ads codebase, and Solutions Engineers can implement great suggestions made by partners.

More about the role is available at https://www.facebook.com/careers/life/solutions-engineering-... .

Job listings are available at https://www.facebook.com/careers/search/?q=solutions%20engin... .

Facebook | Solutions Engineering Manager | Paris | Onsite

We also have a great opportunity for an engineering manager that would like to support a team in Paris. You would support a distributed team, so some travel would be required. Roughly half the time would be spent on people management, with the other half on Solutions Engineering work.

We are looking for someone fluent in French.
