Market is trash right now, but maybe ping some startups and ask for very small projects that they might consider outsourcing. Prob not attractive to them because their overhead in checking out your work just would be too much of a distraction, but you never know.

no advice in particular that you should listen to except that every year over 35 prob counts against you - market seems pretty bad right now, too, but i'm not sure how bad - might just be me. in either case, 6 months looking might be optimistic, esp if you hope to land a job at or near the same level - whether pm, sr pm, etc. and that might be no matter your particular skillset, desired IT position, experience, etc. we're a few months out from the layoffs, so maybe things start easing a bit now, but who knows.

i'm finally being pushed into trying to go from wantrepreneur to entrepreneur - it's not working out for me (yet?), but it's def exhilirating. and i still have this feeling that as soon as i do it, i'll be like 'FUCK!' -- as in, why didn't i do this x years ago? i, like a lot of people, have tried to try, but not _really_.

This is somewhat obvious, but 25 MPH in a city scenario is way too fast. From a robot car in beta, experimenting on live animals, it's way way too fast.

20 MPH (~30 kph) is what they use in europe - that sounds better for city speed limits.

Robot cars in beta should not be allowed to move more than 2 mph in the city.

If they can prove they are safe -- if -- they maybe we can let them start to move a bit faster.

The reason that humans are allowed to drive and maim and terrorize and kill in the city is not a valid reason to allow robots to do the same -- we should disallow humans from doing it as well.

And we should start but putting governors on all cars and have them auto-obey speed limits.
