This is not true. There are device bound passkeys where the private key is stored in a HSM (TPM2.0, Android SE, or apple SE) instead of a hosted service (iCloud, Bitwarden.com). You can just add multiple Passkeys to a single site to have another backup device should your other one be unavailable.

LineageOS has no AVB support at all unfortunately and most devices don't allow using verified boot with custom keys anyways. With GrapheneOS they can just add GrapheneOS public keys (https://grapheneos.org/attestation.json).

For LOS Roblox would have to disable hardware attestation completely, which means you can easily just add extra modules such as a setuid binary which makes cheating easy (at least on the client side, you'd have to rely completely on server side anti cheating)

The problem is also how much MS pushes Onedrive. In Outlook for example its very easy to accidentally upload your attachment to onedrive and sending a link instead of attaching the file to the email.

Whats always annoying is by using nested 4-port hub chips inside a hub with more than 4 ports you get very easily to the max nested depth limit (5). I have a monitor kvm switch that is also an usb hub. It itself only has two ports. Two usb hubs (that are internally nested) are plugged into those ports that I have at the back of my desk where all the HID are plugged in, but I also have a usb hub on the front of my desk so I can easily hotplugmy joysticks, yubikeys and usb flash drives.

Apparently that use case is very complicated with USB even in modern times :(
