That being said, I enjoy reading (and writing) human stories as well! Plus, it's nice to read the many stories people are sharing in the comments of this post. It shows that our community isn't as cold/ruthless as some may think :)

Awesome to hear. I remember reading something a while back, saying that toddlers were developing language much slower when people use their phones around them. Because toddlers need a lot of interactions.

It is a skill, for sure. I still feel like I suck at it in many ways. But recognizing it is the first step to doing better. And pausing what you're doing when someone talks to you is a relatively easy thing to do.

That's a good question. I would say that, to some extend, they do with their core features. Facebook shows you updates from the people you are connected to. It also tells you when it's someone's birthday. It shows you memories.

Now, I haven't used Facebook in years and I have no idea if people rely on it at all to maintain relationships.

Several companies have tried to launch "personal crm" but none really managed to make it a thing (yet?).

My hack is to I have a project in Todoist, with recurring tasks to touch base with my friends, clients, family, etc. It also has birthdays.

It looks super sweet. I got excited but then realized it was for React. Hope to see it extended to raw html/css.

yep, that’s the right answer I think. See what I said: big shots don’t HAVE to be disruptive like relocating the family to a foreign country. (Though many people do that every day)

Congrats on launching it! I really like the idea. The issue is that, as you say, tech people may be able to do it and to not tech people, the blockchain might be too abstract.

I think the examples you give on the homepage are great.

I’ve been a paying Kagi customer for a few months now. It has reconciled me with search. Result quality is great, and the tools like fastgpt and the summarizer are precious.

I was a bit reluctant but I don’t regret doing it.
