You speak as if Toyota wouldn't move the market themselves and needs the pricing Tesla needs to make a profit. I also don't understand the concept that hybrids are cheaper. They are cheaper because it is Toyota making a more complex car than a non-car maker could attempt.

It seems to me like you've just described hiring a mathematician on arithmetic skill. If you hire this way of course many will use code practice tools to pretend they are juniors or incapable of delegating since most of their time should be occupied with less low level ways of doing things or assigning things.

I can go a long time without writing for loops, the better I know the surrounding tools in an ecosystem, the less I accidentally reinvent something with details that low.

I don't remember all that much about pandas, but enough to try to use it to do a matrix operation instead of writing the for loop if I were assigned a ML task for some reason.

The wetware devices (like the hobby EEGs) of the early internet made it a point to never be plugged in to mains..

There's a bit of a correlation causation issue with understanding these studies of one. It seems quite possible that they zap away inhibitions, but equally likely that one has reduced inhibitions if one is inclined to solder things together and push them against one's skull to see what happens.

So for example when it gave me instructions for evolution mail settings it hallucinated a button, for me to know this I had to correctly follow half the instructions and then read them carefully again.. For a text UI one paste them and the interpreter identifies the first incorrect line.

I think it has always been the case that a GUU is bad for communication of training about it, in a world where everyone is like an autodidactic and gets very little help a GUI could win on other stuff related to the user figuring out what to do or recovering a memory of his to do it.

I'm not really focusing here on the GPT interface itself but if it could wrap all sorts of interfaces then text or GUI ones could be replaced by rarely using them directly. But I think such AI interfaces would put themselves at a disadvantage not working with text as a medium between them.

Industrialization of an industry basically centralizes its profits on a relatively small number of winners who have some advantage of lead time on some important factors as it becomes not worthwhile for the vast majority of participants from when it required more of the population.

It seems to me like the problem is housing, an artificial scarcity. If there are full time workers who are homeless then any amount of wage rise is immediately consumed to out compete for a place to live and if that still puts one near that line, one has to cut health care and food expenses to keep out bidding.

I've always found the requirement to install these things before reboots odd and it leaves me afraid to do an upgrade (I have no memory of what I did last time and apparently if I do it differently everything will be irrecoverably different?)

Unless I've misunderstood, it is most effective on a picture of text and has to answer with text. It is extremely difficult for it to guide you through some GUI or give you a sequence you may want to correct a little without forcing you to study what exactly it is doing instead of cutting and pasting text into a text UI.

It's hard for me to imagine if multiple AGI wrapped interfaces could use some other input, I.e. emulated remote desktops and screen shares, (and that could be adequately chainable for AGI output to other interface input,) but I feel like adding all of this data is ultimately making it harder to proof read and adapt something AGI proposes and then automate its repeatable usage (like taking scripts or code.)

If no one in a normal state has the same mix of fear, anger and confusion and this leads to a microbial change around sweat glands, then that is a valid test of greater accuracy than many existing medical tests.

I think quick rejections are a good indication to work on your materials and/or position selection, possibly delaying your send rate. Not really, there are different forms and OSHA recommendations for how much of a safer form should be in the air if you are possibly breathing it your whole working life..

I think demise by drastic jump stories work because the examples are few and notable. Most projects accumulate experts in moving around the wrong optimum who then block plans of getting free that aren't too conservative to possibly work.

I don't think their processes have ever been better, they got initial and later injections of code from outside. Rust/servo was the moment when I thought they might turn it around, but their bus has always gone in the direction of the same cliff.

People who weren't making developer compensation at a FAANG were not laid off from a limited option.

While it always sucks to get laid off, IMO it is better not to work for them if you aren't a developer. They basically try every trick to outsource or reduce lower paid roles (which means over working you) to not get penalized for widely varying pension benefits, etc.

In a boom time there are almost no regret hires, every organization basically needs estimated future capacity that is supposed to work out sometime and to maintain a delusional prognosis..

In some of the downturns that unlikely capacity keeps getting new jobs simply by having been the excess capacity at the right places.

I think we are we are deeper into a downturn where almost everyone is seriously trying to filter to capable in the near term and that is extremely hard given that you almost always need actual time at an organization so a measure of useful on day one filters everyone but returning employees.

I don't see either element, how is continuing to do such a great job you lead the industry a change that could have a new outcome?

One may presume industry will get better and force maintaining an industry leading result to become an adequate result to address the problem, but that is still leaving the impetus of any change to an outside force.
