The back and forth of the different authors is quite interesting

Yes like money and agriculture. We produce enough food for everyone and then throw it away because some dont have money for it. Very good example!

Don't "detain" (kidnap) and "remove" (mass deport) them?

I don't like the whole system of masked guys without badgets picking up kids from the street and putting them in camps to be deported. Do you get my sentiment?

Especially since the country doing it has no, literally no moral reason to claim the land. USA is a settler colonialist project.

They even tried deporting native americans! This whole shit has to stop.

I would say there is a lot wrong with a system based around getting rich with AI... it's already dangerous and if we would work together we could test it securely before deploying it literally everywhere

Socialists, like those running Jacobin, argue for democratic rule over AI. They are not claiming all problems go away when nationalizing AI, they are saying if we want to control what was build on our data, we should actually democratically control it instead of having billionaires do what they want with it.

"AI Is a Product of Humanity. Humanity Should Own AI." was the title of their last article about this and I agree, in the long run nationalizing alone isn't enough and every human should have democratic say about its use

I always have two books going. An important one I read at home in peace and one I can read on public transport because I don't have to / want to concentrate on it too hard.

Reading in public transport has helped me to read more often at home too

The analysis is the critique. Marx whole work was basically just analyzing capitalism and the solutions come from this analysis. E.g., understanding how private ownership and competition lead to endless growth and the climate crisis.
