Importantly, none of these businesses are using crypto because it's crypto or for any speculative benefit. They're performing real-world financial activity, and they've found that crypto (via stablecoins) is easier/faster/better than the status quo ante.

One sign of a technology becoming mature is when it stops needing to be the main character. It starts to make room for what it does, not what it is.

When thefacebook launched, it wasn't a PHP-based social network; it was a social network for college students.

Blockchain has been the main character for a very long time and it's really encouraging to see a product launch like this. Congrats to everyone involved in making this product a reality.

SEEKING FREELANCER | https://center.app | Center Pixel, Inc | Backend Engineer | Remote | We build web3 developer tools and are most focused on solving the "schlep" types of problems that every team ends up building in house but shouldn't have to. Building stuff in crypto today is really hard. Imagine if you wanted to put up a personal website and all you had to do was start by breaking ground to build a data center. Your personal page probably would not be that good, would it? Small teams can only focus on so many things; we want them to use center so they can focus on the details that truly matter and make products beautiful. We want to eliminate all of these annoying, cumbersome, expensive problems that devs face so that they can build incredible user experiences that help people flourish and rise to the level of their ambition, without having to think about if their nodes are online or if their indexer is missing any data. We started about 3 years ago and have finally started to find product market fit. We're looking to scale the engineering team so that we can finally bring our products to market.

Our investors include Founders Fund, Thrive Capital, SV Angel, @balajis, and many more incredible folks who have taken a chance on us; it's been my mission for the last 3+ years to make sure that everyone involved in this venture does phenomenally well.

Hi HN, we're an NFT search engine called center.app and we're looking for lead engineers and designers. We've recently closed a pre-seed fundraise from top-tier investors including senior leadership at FTX, Coinbase, Google, and OpenSea.

Center looks like a toy on the outside, but we have a comprehensive + tactical go-to-market we're executing against.

We have product market fit in both our consumer and API business, top-tier investors trying to lead our next round, a strong team, and we're ready to grow the team and move faster.

Key roles:

1. Lead Product Designer: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/center/6da85cac-c95f-446b-8e3a-5fb2...

2. Lead Frontend Engineer: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/center/b287f1b5-b9d9-4a86-bc3f-8fb8... (typescript, react, next.js, apollo)

3. Lead Backend Engineer: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/center/82192948-2bc1-4cea-b15a-0d77... (python, golang, k8s, tf)

Read more about our values here: https://blog.center.app/values, including why our employee pool is 3x larger than that of other companies.

Also, feel free to email me if that's easier: I'm omar@center.app.

Did it strike you that:

* You're applying for managers of managers role

* Which means you're probably going to need to know how to deal with ambiguity and difficult people situations

* So if your response to not getting what you want is writing a 500+ word rant on a public forum, is this also how you plan to respond when you run into a complex people issue on the job?

Yes. I've done this for the past 4 years and it's the best of both worlds. Right now I rent a private office that's ~10 minutes walking from home. Close enough that there's no traffic; far enough that I have a routine. Love it.
