I don't even live in the same country anymore. I've looked at the files I have, and it's not there. It's gone.

Someone gifted me 87 bitcoins back when they were worth ~0. They are still in some wallet somewhere I guess, and I saved the password on a harddrive I threw out around the same time
Punishing others for trading with another nation is bullying.

Yeah. Got word I was being laid off in November. Officially because of restructuring, but after having had some conversations it's clear I've been replaced by a junior with a Claude subscription.
20 years coding experience. Gone through the sweaty junior years, senior, founding engineer, CTO (and back to software Engineering again because it's my preference) -- and now I can't even get an interview with a human.
Due to unfortunate life events my savings are now all but gone and I don't even know how if I will be able to keep a roof over our heads. It's messed up.
If anyone is hiring send me a message. I'm a .eu citizen but work have residency in and work out of Mexico.

20 years building and operating production systems. Most interesting thing I've done: joined an aquaculture startup as the first engineer, built the entire platform (software, IoT firmware, hardware integrations, infrastructure), grew into the CTO role, and helped the company raise $5M Series A.Before and after that, I've spent ~10 years at a Norwegian hosting company doing everything from datacenter buildouts and cloud platform architecture to migrating 50+ systems from Perl to .NET and managing a remote dev team.
I'm strongest where software meets infrastructure meets hardware. Looking for senior/staff platform, backend, or infrastructure roles -- especially at companies doing IoT, energy, climate tech, or anything with real-world integrations. Remote only (or commute to Mexico city).
I agree 100%. But as someone with 25 years of development experience, holy crap it's nice not having to do the boring parts as much anymore.
Please elaborate on how Greenland is US territory.
The list i provided was of left wing politicians.
There are zero far left wing politicians in the US Congress. The far left is literally anti capitalist marxists.
The US barely has any genuinely left-wing politicians (Bernie Sanders, AOC, DSA). There are no one who realistically could be called far left in any significant position of governing power.
Why would you in 2025 only build for iOS?
Maybe we will see them and the last three seasons of Lost before we die
He tried to have someone's life violently taken away. He should have rotted in there.
What about if we instead of building more levels on top of this already falling building we build a new one a few blocks over. With blackjack, hookers, and free* and humane health care.
* not really free of course, but you pay less on average than you do today and you do it on your taxes instead of to some profit chasing private company -- and most importantly those who don't pay today will have equal access to it as well.
In Mexico that's the US, so maybe the poster is from Spain.
The doubling of the letters (e.g., "EE." for "Estados" and "UU." for "Unidos") follows a convention in Spanish where plural abbreviations are indicated by duplicating the letters. The correct form would be "EE. UU." This practice aligns with historical Latin abbreviations (e.g., "SS." for "Sancti" (plural) or "S." for "Sanctus" (singular)).
It's almost like profits shouldn't be part of the equation when we are talking about humans lives and health.
Noone should enrich themselves on others not getting the health care they need, and those who do it today are morally bankrupt -- and society should fight back.
26? I was thinking schizophrenia as soon as I heard the age. The weirdness of the situation, unclear motive, and how it seems very out of character all scream onset of some kind of mental illness yes.
First post and it turned into a US politics discussion. Great.
What do you think will fix it?
Like measurable in our lifetime? The average distance to the moon will be 3.8 meters further away in a hundred years. That's insignificant as far as tides goes.
Despite what another commenter says, the moon will not leave earths captive field. It will recede until it gets tidally locked with earth, and both the tide cycles and the moons recension will halt. That is, if there still is water in a few billion years and it hasn't been replaced with Brawndo
At least for the next 13 days, when gma will learn about null pointers
You may not know this, but the word Gypsy is considered an insult by the people you reference to. It's like the N-word for black people. The preferred name is Romani.
I see this mentioned a lot, but how large would you actually rack up the bills in today's dollars?
So CF is ok with shady for 10k but not for .25k?

Between MS and having had COVID 4+ times, first one giving me long for 6 months, it's a miracle my brain keeps ticking. The human body is an insane piece of machinery.

The aliens collection method is not as appealing to the end user, tho.
My computer was last upgraded 11 years ago (I had to do some trickery to be able to install Win 11) It obviously has specs dwarfed by yours. The wifi icon appears the instant I click. Freshly installed whenever Win 11 was available.
