A dull knife you cannot control, is slides across the surface, it can slip. Try cutting onions with a dull knife. You will cry yourself out of the room.
Good Sir, economics is never supposed to work out.
And hence, Dickensian invention of cliffhanger at the end of installment. Narrative push and pull that you can feel when you read it in a book.
True, true. But maybe somewhat reductive? What about complexity? The one arising from the growing code, and the other in the brain using the language? I feel new languages try to strategize in the domain of complexity management.
I really wanted for it to be a robotic tongue drumming all the ambient hits.
Being raped.
I agree, Dasher is a beautiful piece of software design.
I am ok with the long-form reply. We are all sentient, one can scan for the information or insights that are valuable to him/her. On the other hand, I dislike when information is withheld from me.
I was researching different input methods, and stumbled upon Dasher. What I like the most is:
- the fact that I can write with one hand (like with a fountain pen, remember those?)
- right edge of the interface is literally The Library of Babel of J. L. Borges[Drinks] O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a KISS I die. [Dies]
((One W. Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet.))
Excuse me, maybe I am not getting it, why is this downvoted?
I came here to suggest Dasher to OP also.
Yes, I understood your argument, and your emphasis is on the point there.
I am simply asking in what sense did Claude read all those books. I am sorry if I have hijacked the disscusion.
edited: spelling
It is interesting to me that your emphasis is on _lot_, and not on _read_.
Frugal?
There is no deep formal math in AI. It is a game of numbers.
All deep formal math is a boundary to a thing.
That is what he wrote. By his account, he is not as of yet determined what he thinks.
The third sentence of the article states:
" They had spent the past two decades hunting jackals and foxes together, often traveling in Talgar’s run-down Volkswagen Golf, a modern replacement for a horse."
And then a picture caption adds:
"The Taigan is a breed of sight hound native to Kyrgyzstan. They are used to flush prey, such as foxes, on a hunt."
Afterwards I almost invariably have the thought "it took me how long to write just that?" and start thinking I ought to have used a different tool.
I think there is also a psychological bias, we feel more "productive" in a more verbose language. Subconsciously at least, we think "programmers produce code" instead of thinking "programmers build systems".
I highly recommend to the people cross-interested in film theory, the Eisensteins book essay The philosophy of composition. At great length talking about Piranesi perspective.
"The key innovation lies in the microscopically small concentric rings that the researchers can pattern on the substrate. Unlike the ridges of FZPs (Fresnel Zone Plate), which are optimized for a single wavelength, the size and spacing of the flat lens' indentations keep the diffracted wavelengths of light close enough together to produce a full-color, in-focus image."
Yes, I see. I cannot replicate it either. Sometimes it get me another color (green) for a background, while starting bookmarks panel.
Something funny is happening; as I understand it, it is a flash thing reimplemented.
Did the feedback help in reformulating or refocusing you product in any way, or was the effect visibilty/promotion boost from the community?

This one?
Worth watching for sure, but the kakistocracy is the oposite situation. The worst (the few), gouverning the rest.
"Ms. Yamashita first encountered danshari during her university years in Tokyo, when she studied yoga and Buddhist teachings that emphasized letting go of attachments. After graduating [...] she began applying these principles to declutter her own home."
"The envisioned indoor farm would grow fruits and vegetables inside a multilevel warehouse, maximizing yield per acre while minimizing environmental impacts through a controlled, closed-loop system."
A similar approach (effectively node based, generative music)
I used to play with an earlier version of Nodal, great for someone that has an ear for music but no formal training. Also, Brian Eno.
Why would they need to be reconciled? Or, indeed, Galoas abused?
I bid you 21 good Sir.
Fellini's Casanova and his over the top performance.
