I think a side community project is perfect given this potential concern (even though likelihood is unlikely). Oracle's not going to sue Apple for something like this.

I was so excited to see just how alive this is! I was hunting around and about to start the project myself when I saw this and thought everyone else would be so excited to see that a package release was just put out a few hours ago. Great to see and I think that with some support we can really help these guys along and all really enjoy some wonderful fruit.

ZFS is wonderful for workstations. It keeps redundant copies of blocks and has parity functionality to keep you from having silent corruption and allowing a bad drive to sneak up on you. Running a consulting business I see many hundreds of computers yearly come in with just this problem alone for hard drive failure and ZFS would make everyone's lives so much happier just on workstations alone.

ZFS runs amazingly well on FreeBSD at the moment. Very, very stable and incredible. I love having to not worry about bad blocks / sectors anymore! I also love raid-z2 which allows 2 failed drives simultaneously. Just an amazing comfort. We can see this on Mac OS X with some effort!

This is really exciting stuff. She's got a business model that both smaller startups and larger organizations can take advantage of... and it's scalable. Big time!

I think they'll have the multi browser issues situated soon... at least I hope. I'm guessing within 1-2 months at most.

They have a good system and strong potential.

It was never about showing the shirt in person for her. It's about sharing it with the world and she has a lot of heavy hitter traffic out there.

I sure hope they resurrect that soon as she's doing a great job.

By the way, these guys are going through the HECK of startup right now through bootstrapping and really going garageband with this. I think there's an awful lot that the people floating around here can learn by what they're doing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion for sure. I think their taste is >>AWESOME<<. Come on, look at the first band, Brightwood? They're absolutely amazing. They were in Hollywood just a few weeks ago performing and going on a national tour here. Why don't you share some bands with them and try to get them featured.

It's about making them known to the world and everyone has different taste.

Man, these guys are really awesome. The first episode is really high quality. I'm digging some of those other bands as well. Definitely one to keep my eye on as I've never heard of these guys before.
