It won't solve the problem of "how" to redistrict, but as far as finding out if gerrymandering IS happening it seems like there are good ideas out there such as the "efficiency gap" used in a recent Wisconsin case.

The site states that they are using a WISC stack via BizSpark, which gives companies free use of a TON of tools and software for something like 4 years or once they make over $1 million in revenue. Sure, you could also do this for free using open source tools, but I would GLADLY pay a couple grand in licensing fees if my company was making over a $million in revenue using the Microsoft stack.I think the fact that StackOverflow uses a WISC stack is a testament to its reliability and robustness. Hey, whatever gets the job done.

I'm curious, did you have specific demographics or criteria in mind when you chose your testers?

Either way government money flows to VC's doesn't it? How would this be any different than say a pension fund who receives government money and invests that in a VC fund? It seems like this would almost be an American sovereign wealth fund, sort of like Singapore and the Temasek Holdings company. It's better that the money go to startups and innovation rather than buying more sub-prime mortgage securities.

I'm curious about how caffeine consumption goes up when waking up earlier. I find that when I wake up earlier I will sometimes drink an extra cup or two of coffee throughout the day to try and stay alert, though I suppose if waking up earlier became a habit then maybe caffeine consumption would level off?

I assume every idea I think up has already been thought of, in fact, I'm almost certain they have been. A better question to ask would be "How are you going to successfully execute your idea?"

Agreed, I found myself staring at pictures and text more than once because I wasn't sure which went which. I think the top of the page is also being underused. It's the first thing a new user landing on your page will see, so it should be what grabs them.

I make my co-founders lock themselves in a conclave for days on end until we agree upon a name, and when that is done, white smoke billows out my chimney to signal the masses that a name has been chosen to represent my site on Earth. There might also be wine, and lots of praying that our idea will work :)
