I just went through this process and it seemed like a scam. After registering I got a sales call where they pushed the $300 package, suggesting that it would take over a month to get set up with Apple if I did not purchase it. When I refused, they had the audacity to say I should reconsider purchasing when I could afford it.

I registered on iupdate.dnb.com and only paid $50 to expedite the request for a DUNS number. The entire process was complete in a week and we were approved by Apple.

thanks! I tried implementing an area to slide over the keyboard, but the touch events of the keys were always getting priority. I'll try out some different methods and see if I can get it to work in a way that will get approved by Apple.

I like the idea of the acceleration controlling cursor speed, I'll try it out and see how it feels.

After I get it to a place that feels good, I'll either release it as a component that can be dropped in, or open source it.

thanks. I was working on a similar app - but yes, it was influenced by that concept video.

good suggestion for the pop-up after a selection, I will add that in.

going to submit it to the App Store this week, I will follow up when it is available

Former United States Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff supports it.

"Chertoff has been an advocate of full body scanners at airports. In 2010 he admitted that a client of his security firm, the Chertoff Group, is Rapiscan Systems, one of the two manufacturers of this technology."

Hello HN,

Please check out the latest collaboration between myself and bmahler - Instant Search for iPad.

I'd love to hear what this community thinks, is this something you would use? What would you like added to make it more useful?

Agreed. Instead of getting users to better results and having them click through to the site, Google Instant seems to want the user to keep asking different questions until the answer is available in page title and abstract that Google presents.

Is Auto-Complete Optimization something SEOs already focus on? For example, trying to get the keywords they rank well on placed relatively higher in an auto-complete list for Google, Bing, etc?

Apple gets 30% of all revenue developers generate, so they aren't really competition.

Name one app that has existed on the App Store that Apple banned because they released their own version of it, and charged for it.

I trust that they want me to succeed to they get 30% of a much larger number.

I don't care for the 35k iPhone App and 3k WAP site numbers that he pulled out of thin air. From my experiences, the costs are not so disparate.

iPhone vs. WAP is a poor comparison because an iPhone app and a WAP site are two different digital tactics that address completely different objectives.

Brands are not buying iPhone apps to get the same utility that is available from a WAP site. They are buying them to make their brands appear technically savvy, and to increase engagement.

Allowing developers to create apps once and deploy them as native apps across all major mobile platforms would be a big win for Adobe.

But as a result, app stores will be overloaded when anyone with access to Flash CS5 can deploy a native application.

no need to be disappointed, this is just the first iteration of our experiment (v 0.1) and we are just soliciting feedback and collecting data

appreciate the feedback about consolidating results with relative rankings, that is something we are currently developing

Because ~75% of clicks on search results are the top 5 results, we were less interested in the long tail of results, and focused on the top results from the most popular sites.

We developed this experiment to see if the top 5 results in context of the top sites would give a better result set than the top 15-20 results from any single search engine.

Instead of having a skills section at the end of your resume, try showing how you utilized those skills in the 'work' section. The keywords will still get hits, and it will give context to how you use those skills, and your proficiency with them.
