Maybe it starts when some people start to apply some power on other people ? But all your examples are people talking about themselves : their own lives, their own choices, their own specifics, their own struggles. I would say people can have all this and mention it as long as it stays on the fringe and does not become a topic to debate. This would be outside the scope of the group.

Maybe other people should avoid commenting on peoples life / choices / specifics / struggles, and the atmosphere may stay nice.

"Written in ghost font" is the decoy message. Your filters got those words.

The real message is "only a human can read this" and your filters didn't get these words.

I love the small web, and this is a nice project. But I won't remember to come back to it. It would be nice to have it pop up in my Mastodon or Lemmy (or Insta, or FB...) for each new addition.

Thank you for the "dark mode", like the old days. 2 annoyances though :

- the flashing bright yellow banner is painful to the eyes

- and the fonts are very small on a phone screen — although a 300x zoom "fixed" this.

On TV, content changes all the time. It is "always new". In your examples, content is the same over and over. They would not be fascinating for too long because the novelty would wear off. Very different.

- A few times, while using the automatic translation of Firefox (I don't speak portuguese) I ran into critical bug while hovering the map, that "deletes" the whole page and leaves me with an error message : "Erreur d'application: une application client a une exception lors du chargement de saas-map.ssr.trapiche.cloud (voir la console du navigateur pour plus d'informations)." in the console I get : "Uncaught DOMException: Node.removeChild: The node to be removed is not a child of this node > NextJS"

- I use Firefox with zoom on by default, and its not dealt with properly : the floating window on the map is right above what I am pointing at and hiding it. Really annoying.

- Clicking on "commençar gratis" I get to "Error Loading Deployments - HTTP 401: Unauthorized"

You need a local webserver. Or bundle everything in one html file.

They are not reserved characters. They only express a special format when used in that way : a space on its left, and a character stuck to its right AND somewhere down the road : its twin with a character stuck to its left and a space on its right. I built an editor doing just that more than two decades ago, and it works fine.

So *this* and /that/ express formatting, but not 4 * 5 nor 4*5 nor 4/5 nor m/s.

A more intuitive norm, used in other formats, would have been :

Ok you don't like dark mode.

I love dark mode, and I don't like light mode. Everything is dark mode on my machines, day and night.

I find it stupid to have so much light beamed into my face, and I prefer to only light up the useful signal. The letters and numbers, and graphs. The 99% of background is of no interest and as such it doesn't need to send light to my face.

Could an installable PWA solve this ?

The lack of proper adblocker on iOS is what convinced me to use the Brave browser instead of Firefox or Safari. An adblocker is included by default.

Also : avoid using IT terms in examples (or "self-reference"), it can be confusing. In examples choose a very different field : animals, cars or anything, so that there is a very clear difference between language keywords (what needs to be learned) and the dummy data treated (what can be forgotten after reading).

Here we are trying to explain templates and slots, with "slot" as an html attribute and the dummy data is... "slot". This kind of confusion is useless and makes it more difficult. Almost as if the goal was to be difficult.
