It's a good job it was off by such a large amount, or I might have panicked instead of writing it off as a phishing attempt. I had an email saying my $7.50 budget had been exceeded with an actual cost of $3bn.
I didn't notice this at first but if you click the pencil icon you can draw a shape to match against instead of searching with text or browsing with the dropdown

Had same issue with Wise followed by same email about Evolve. I don't think Wise have discovered (or want to admit) the real scope of the issue.

I tend to use hapi (https://hapi.dev) instead of Express if I need to write a quick backend for something these days.
Fastify looks nice too but I haven't used it.
Been burnt by full-stack frameworks in the past (e.g. Meteor) but they can be a good option for some.

A little word guessing game called LingoLingoLingo that I made over the Christmas period after watching TV episodes of Lingo and being introduced to Wordle. I didn't have the patience to wait for the new Wordle word each day and wasn't enjoying the barrage of adverts in the official Lingo mobile apps so I thought I'd make something of my own. Started as just a quick demo in the browser console but spurred on by family members I made it into an actual website.
I've made a few improvements (particularly around making the word list more friendly - nothing worse than trying to guess a totally obscure or archaic word) and the site has been shared around friends/family/colleagues over the past month or so. It seems to be averaging 300+ visits per day now which honestly is surpassing my incredibly low expectations for the site.
Tech stack was just sticking to what I know: React / Redux / Styled Components, and hosted on Cloudflare pages.
Would love to hear any feedback / suggestions!
Side note: I originally hosted this with Netlify but wasn't keen on paying for analytics that were very clearly padded out with bots/hackers trying to find wordpress admin pages. Interested to see if anyone has had similar experience? Using the Cloudflare JS-based analytics seems to be giving much more realistic figures and I think it's a nice balance between purely server-log-driven analytics and the more sinister tracking-everything-you-do that you get with Google Analytics. Interestingly a lot of traffic (around one-third of all visits) is via the Bing search engine.

Wordle is cool in its simplicity and focus on 'once per day' but the mechanic is literally a clone of Lingo already (the UK gameshow version at least, which I think is also a clone of the American Lingo gameshow).

There's tonnes of clones of those too in both app stores.
I also made a web based version recently, with unlimited words and choice of words lengths between 4-8 characters.

I think Stripe does now have a tax product. Not sure what the features/limitations are but it seems to be saying it handles VAT for you. Can't offer anything deeper than that as I haven't used it but thought I'd mention in case it was helpful!
You definitely don't... Unknown contacts show as e.g. "+1234567890 ~Bob" (their WhatsApp display name). When you save them to your contacts it switches to the name you added instead.

Depending on your country / financial situation / medical insurance you may be able to get help with these. In the UK the NHS should provide a suitable solution. Either way if at all possible speak to a qualified speech therapist and they'll be able to help with your specific situation.
There are plenty of apps that can do pictograms to speech - I think the term you want to search for is "aac apps" (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). I'll see if my partner (an adult speech therapist) has any recommendations and get back to you.
Interesting... I got a result of 44Mb/s down, which is 8 more than I pay for and 13 more than any other speed test shows (i.e. speedtest.net, fast.com, BT Wholesale speed check).
Aside from the general tone-deafness of this move, shouldn't the management at the warehouses be the ones wearing the thank you t-shirts? To you know, thank the workers...
I'm sure those workers would probably prefer and deserve a bonus and a heartfelt individual thank you though.
I just can't believe they missed the obvious 'iShield' (ie eye shield) name... or maybe that didn't get past the PR department.
I agree that personal responsibility is important but I don't think we can assume that someone who has been physically or emotionally abused is necessarily going to be making rational decisions. Even if they are, they may fear repercussions from the abuser, or the 'shame' of divorce etc. from family members who don't realise the full extent of the situation. Those reasons are somewhat difficult to address IMO.
I got angeber = "show off" and gesellschaft = "society", which I think makes sense in the context of hnarn's comment. I'm not German though so not 100% sure.
