Around 2000 to over 7000 false positives per mm^2 based on the type of glove. Essentially, regular lab gloves shed enough particles to swamp microplastic measurements to warrant switching to clean room gloves for this type of analysis.

I find the alternatives more likely to ban/censor than X. Bluesky is definitely not civil to those with the "wrong" opinions, despite what proponents of the service say.
Why is Dyson being sued for actions taken by their suppliers? This is setting a bizarre precedent.
The idea of an exponential fee is a good one, in what universe does a _single_ Disney IP become worth over $1T?
API still seems to work if you already have a script to hand to unproxy everything.
The worst part of this so-called “feature” is when very diligent creators from non-English-speaking countries already present in English language. But YouTube just assumes it's in their native language, so you have this horrible AI voiceover by default instead of their voice or VO artist that they use.
Seems kinda silly to make a 4K video card when ... nobody on the planet has a 4K screen.
Someone else probably said that years ago when everyone was rocking 1080/1440p screens.
Is this with the EXPO profiles, or are they running at the JEDEC transfer rate?
While this was nice, github-roast actually gave constructive advice whilst also putting me down.
Comcast and $VPN_PROVIDER have a vested interest in staying in business, so they will gladly hand over the data to the friendly neighbourhood intelligence agency when requested.
I recently had my smart meter installed, the actual meters (and the display) themselves connect over a Home Area Network (HAN) and a separate module attached to the electricity meter connects to the mobile network to push readings.
Speaking to the installer, he said that it's common in the north of England for meters to use radio comms instead of mobile network due to the poor reception, I imagine these are unaffected.
Similar to why Google's latest image generator refuses to produce a correct image of a 'Realistic, historically accurate, Medieval English King'. They have guard rails and system prompts set up to force the output of the generator with the company's values, or else someone would produce Nazi propaganda or worse. It (for some reason) would be attributed to Google and their AI, rather than the user who found the magic prompt words.
Anyone experienced with asking for service credits for enterprise customers? It looks like you have to prove that they have missed their SLAs
I have completely ditched Windows for Gentoo/Arch, I cannot stand the crapware installed by default and all the hoops you have to jump through to get rid of it.
First day back from a break and GitHub is down, classic.

As a CofE churchwarden, I can confirm that progressivism has taken over Christianity, as well as become a secular belief system.
Do we need to develop a new format and connector for RAM? Where we can get it as low to the motherboard and the sticks of RAM as thin and small as possible?
The short sellers could have jumped as soon as Ryan Cohen and co got on the Gamestop board, but no they continued shorting. I have no sympathy for them, be careful of future calls for regulation of retail investors.
Hawaiian will always win for me
Unless it's full of younger management, it'll be bums on seats forever.
It's a shame https://www.youtube.com/user/Bisqwit was missing from the list
It would depend on what you would define as a diverse opinion, problem is who should define that and whether they took their own biases into account.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories but if I'm told to watch my unconscious biases in check then maybe social media sites, their admins, and their moderators should do the same in regards to conservative thought on their sites.
It's so different you immediately think it's orchestrated from behind the scenes, other subreddits with politics banned are so much more bearable.
Palm oil is a cheap substitute for trans fats in most processed food, so should we return to animal fats?
I think so, and not just for the orangutans.
Up to 60k p/a[0] for a Senior DevOps engineer is not exactly London wages when the exact same job can start at or above 80k. [1]
Have they also thought that not every engineer lives in (or wants to move to) Cardiff?
What is their remote working policy? Do they even have one?

They didn't mention it in the article but I wouldn't be surprised if it crossed their mind.
Started my own business with a friend 4 years ago to write funny sci-fi side scrollers, he was then promoted in his permanent job which meant he didn't have any intention of leaving it.
Straight after with a 3d artist co-worker at the job at the time created a relatively re-useable VR ArchViz Engine in UE4 and Oculus Rift, our first client (major Indian construction firm) expected us to give it away for free and subsequently they went radio silent.
I panicked and quickly pivoted to DevOps/SRE consulting and contracting through agencies, which I've happily been doing since then.
Now it's a decision on whether to go back to permanent work (at a relatively senior level) as I'm starting a family or to double down and start hiring.
Ignorance is bliss. Let's sweep them under the rug.
