Run their other gear in several other SMB environments, including a condo where we're using it for office, building automation, and public area networking along with around 80 cameras. Dead simple to understand.

I keep Kirkland canned Cold Brew stocked in my office. We have great hot options at work, but not iced ones. But we do have ice. It's bitter, it's unsweetened, but it packs a good amount of caffeine and is incredibly convenient. Even took a case with me on a cruise.

I have enjoyed UCC in the past; It's good, but I prefer my coffee without sugar or cream. I didn't try any of the hot canned options while in Japan, but did absolutely love some of the choices for other products I found in various vending machines.

I had a pair of these for doing webhosting back in the day. I'd colo'd them at a sublet space in a New Orleans data center. Reliability got really spotty at one point - turns out the guy I rented the Us from had failed to pay his bill. We got kicked out and he took all the equipment (about 3 full racks) and piled it into his car. He then took it to his pool house where he'd had a T1 line dropped in. He owned the IP block, so they didn't need to re-address anything. I only found out why things were so slow when I demanded to come get my hardware.

Sadly, not my worst colo experience. That went to a Texas-based, name brand "dedicated server" operation who had a secondary site in Chicago. I bought a server there solely for offsite backups; it was plagued with issues. Turns out, the data center was the scene of constant theft - by the employees. It came to a head one night when off-the-clock employees injured the on-duty employee, cut a hole in the wall, and then made off with all sorts of networking and computing gear. The company lied for months, held data hostage, and kept money for services they didn't provide. I think Chris Faulkner is still in jail now, so he can't make good on his threats to sue me now. Dude got really pissed when customers told the truth on Web Hosting Talk. I hope he enjoys every last minute at FCI LOMPOC.

I really like Cory's books, and have even purchased some of his audiobooks from him, but I find that I do 100% of my audiobook listening through Audible. The convenience and massive library that I've amassed as a result of their credit scheme has fully captured me.

It’s sad to see that the actions of anonymous people made it impossible to continue live streaming court.

I started using rsync.net a number of years ago to house remote backups of my then-employer's critical data. At that time, we had a SBS 2k3 server for all the in-office files; the rsync team was more than happy to walk me through establishing (and testing) an automated backup solution that worked well until we decommissioned the in-office domain controller. I visited and helped them move from the current iteration of an on-premise Windows server to a Synology for in-office file storage (and for capturing backups of cloud services) and they were again more than happy to assist in setting up that process as well.

The type of data stored with them requires notification of the data subjects if there is a breach (even if that breach is due to legal process), I've found the warrant canary to be quite reassuring and understandable to the non-technical people whose business is at risk in the event of data loss. We don't get that same level of assurance with some of the other places we might store our backup.

It's hard to think of a "cloud" provider as providing personalized service, but rsync.net pulls it off. They've helped take the fear out of storing critical data on "other people's computers" by proving themselves reliable, trustworthy, and helpful.
