I moved to OpenSuse and have the same experience/opinion. The only caveat I had in Wayland is Game Streaming. Sunshine/Moonlight work but the input lag is noticeable and there are artifacts in the game. I go back and forth between X11 and Wayland just because X11 better for game streaming but in time I'm sure I'll go full-time into Wayland.

Hoping this brings EV infrastructure up in the country. Having boring sessions is not the point, Z2 training is designed to build endurance, improve cardiovascular efficiency, and increase your body's ability to burn fat as a fuel source at moderate intensities. It’s not about enduring boredom or embracing “mental pain” but rather about consistently training at a level that is sustainable for extended periods.

Have you tried using an nvim distribution? They take care of all the plugin loading, config and testing. They stay reasonably updated too.

I get frustrated seeing this go into the iPad and knowing that we can't get a shell, and run our own binaries there. Not even as a VM like [UserLAnd](https://userland.tech). I could effectively travel with one device less in my backpack but instead I have to carry two M chips, two displays, batteries, and so on...

GLXGears was my command of choice to verify if my graphics drivers were installed. Either they would run smoothly (when installed) or choppy and broken. Can’t use that anymore because the APUs and generic drivers got so good that everything runs smoothly. Good times.

I only use Windows because of gaming purposes. Is there anything around the internet that can show benchmarks for something like Bottles vs Proton vs Windows? WSL works well but I’d personally want to stay stick to native and not dual boot.

It’s great to see this project still going strong after many years. For me, Manjaro struck the perfect balance between stability and new features. The community is also one of my favorite things about it. For anyone finding Ubuntu too bloated and Arch too hard to install/maintain, Manjaro is the way to go. You’ll get the best of both worlds.

This makes sense. Amongst my friends, a number of them maxed out an M1 machine not just because of the processor but also because of the improved I/O and new form factor. The M1 machine ticked so many boxes that the purchase decision was not solely pushed by the CPU. The machines are so good it’s hard to justify a new one!

I don’t think it’s like that anymore. There are many servicies tied to a console nowadays and they solely function as just game machines. If Sony decides to prevent hacked consoles from having a PSN account or even going further into banning those accounts the incentive for piracy is very low. You’d also potentially lose future system updates making some games unplayable.

In the old days, all you wanted and could do was play games so stakes were low. Now you have Netflix, NFL, and years of digital “goods” tied in there.

I do agree with you that piracy played a big part on PS1, and PS2 success but the role of it in the modern day won’t be as important as in the past.

You can still sideload the Google Play Store and install apps from there. It just requires a couple of extra steps.

Gave up. I was wishing WWDC21 bring something like this due the M1 iPads but all I got was a refresh on Playgrounds... It's frustrating but I'm still inside the garden, and getting more tired by the day.
