I do something similar when running. When I feel like stopping and walking the rest of the route I'll pick a landmark up ahead, like a telephone pole or a mailbox, and say to myself, "I'll just run to that." Once I get to the landmark though, I feel I can still go on a bit so I pick another landmark up ahead that I'll run to. And so on.

Is it legal for Mozilla to fire Eich because of his political affiliations? Is it legal to ask a prospective CEO hire his or her political views? What I found from a quick search indicates that it isn't legal. [1] I can kind of understand how a member of the LGBT community could be disappointed by Eich's promotion, but I don't understand what they think Mozilla could have legally done differently.

I had a similar thought. Google Now's voice search is already available in the iOS Google Search app, so what would it take to get full Google Now functionality in that app? It seems like Google could get very close with what is already available api wise.

We're talking about something that prevents form data loss. If it doesn't error on IE6/7 and simply doesn't work, then that's fairly graceful degradation that provides a benefit to users on more modern browsers.

But I suppose if your userbase is predominantly IE6/7, then it may not be worth the effort for you.

Same here. Tried Firefox and Chrome but still couldn't get it to work. Finally tried IE and now it works; I actually see add buttons and the names of the ingredients on the left hand side. In FF and Chrome, only the thumbnails are visible in the ingredients list.

I'm really interested in the 'fake' sales page idea, thanks for sharing the details. From these numbers, did you have a formula in mind that would determine if you could make money from the book? In other words, if you sell for $27, those 15 buys generate $405, which is obviously more than the $100 spent on Adwords. But how many of the 15 people who clicked Buy would actually buy? Also, did you list a price on your 'fake' sales page next to the Buy button?

Also, given your fake sales page experience, have you considered advertising with Adwords?

But they kept referring to 2011 as the year of the iPad 2. Not to read too much into it, but is that a hint that there won't be an iPad 3 this year?
