PSA tests are easy and cheap enough that any concerning single result should be followed up with several more to see if there's an increasing / accelerating trend. An elevated but flat trend could be BPH, and as others have mentioned, a single elevated result can be caused by many things (prostatitis, etc).

Ha I did the same thing after that apple was on our fridge a few days. I wondered "how does it know which letter tile is inserted?" Looked at the back of a couple of the tiles, sure enough, binary. Good catch on the ASCII values!

I think it's the certain markets that determine how useful CL is--I'm also in LA. I've mainly dealt in furniture & electronics, and CL in other cities, particularly Minneapolis, was a dream, so good in fact that I didn't know FB marketplace existed until I moved to LA and had to look elsewhere after seeing how bad the CL market for used stuff was.

GMV | Senior Engineer | Los Angeles / Houston | Hybrid or Full Remote

GMV Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) North America is a small group within GMV and a leading ITS provider across the US, serving public transit agencies, universities, and private operators. Think air traffic control for city bus fleets.

We're looking for a Senior Engineer who is eager to tackle challenging problems in a diverse tech ecosystem: stream processing of telemetry data, web applications and services, on-board vehicle sensors and peripherals, native mobile apps.

Our tech stack: C#, Golang, Kafka, Akka.net, Goka, React, Android, MSSQL, Postgres, Kubernetes

Official job posting: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/2982486975/

Feel free to contact me (daka@gmv.com) with any questions--I've been an engineer at GMV for a few years now and would be happy to answer questions about the engineering team and the company.

Wordle and grep 4 years ago

I refused to believe Wordle would be so evil as to have two repeated letters.

I remember VIVID which was pretty tough.

Other commenters have mentioned better diagnostics / better imaging / other monitoring tools. I've always wondered why not increase the frequency of PSA testing to provide a time series and reduce noise, instead of examining single PSA results in isolation? I think the normal recommended frequency 2-3 years. A PSA test is noninvasive and very cheap compared to other screening methods, so why not repeat it every 3-6 months or even monthly when there's an elevated PSA level?
