One of the most helpful usages of CC so far is when I simply ask:

"Are there any bugs in the current diff"

It analyzes the changes very thoroughly, often finds very subtle bugs that would cost hours of time/deployments down the line, and points out a bunch of things to think through for correctness.

this is one of those games that lives in my head. the quirky narrator and the personalities of all the characters felt really unique at the time.

seeing stuff like this, and backyard baseball, again in browser or modern apps just doesn't hit the same though

AWS, GCP and other cloud providers play just as large of a role in allowing for tiny teams. Used to need an ops team of 10+ people to do all the stuff on premise that AWS can do

On Alcohol 2 years ago

I have substituted liquid sativa weed drinks for alcohol. I am still able to have a “drink” in social settings.

I am convinced it is the future of partying for those still looking for the positives of alcohol, without as many of the harmful effects.

It took me far too long to realize caffeine was the cause of my restless sleep issues. Even just 80mg at 10am. I thought it was stress. There’s definitely millions of other people that don’t realize caffeine is killing them slowly due to lack of good sleep, and just continue the cycle.

I still exclusively use class components to this day. They are incredibly easy to reason about and solve every problem I’ve had.

Hooks from the start seemed like a functional mess, everytime I see it I also feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

It blows my mind that they shot themselves in the foot by marketing to kids.

They never needed to do that. Kids would've gotten their hands on them just the same.

Kids have been smoking cigarettes in school bathrooms since the beginning of time. JUUL was just incredibly incompetent in contrast with the high quality of their product.

I actually like the way it’s threaded - it allows you to discuss individual points in the essay instead of everyone talking about the entire contents at the same time. I do think they should have a collapse option to read it as one, but still allow you to reply to the individual thoughts
