They could be using it in the US-Iran war.

I thought it was the reverse. Waymo wants to be compared to all drivers, this critic says they should be compared to taxi drivers.
Are they arguing that NYC taxi drivers are safer then average drivers nationwide?
When I was at Google they arranged to have this stuff built out. But it took a few years each time.
I wonder the same thing. It could be that getting transition grid interconnects and redundant fiber paths is much faster in more suburban areas vs rural areas.
They want them to follow legally enacted laws in an open democracy.
That matches my experience at google. Getting the land and approvals was the most time, then the basic site prep and building shells and utilities, then basic building fit out, and then finally the actual tech installs.
The noise issue is not irrational. But, they should establish objective criteria for noise (at various distances, frequencies and frequency variation)
Issues around the cost of infrastructure upgrades being spread over all rate payers are not universal, and can be corrected.
Engineering details matter, a lot.
The US (and EU/UK) subsidies defense, but imo that’s different. First, it’s more understandable to want domestic arms production. Second, they are not seeking to subsidize to undercut foreign suppliers and drive them out of business.
The US is not pushing subsidized F35 fighters all over the world to drive other producers under.
Median PPP adjusted income and disposable income tells a very different story.
Two main reasons. It requires taking a lot of freedom / agency away from individuals, and redirecting much of the profits of successful enterprises to subsidies (and suppressing individual consumption and standard of living).
A better policy fix would be to remove it from multi-drug products. Require it always be the only active ingredient.
The CCP has publicly explained that their strategy is indeed to dominate key sectors via gov subsidies, de-industrialize other nations and gain strategic leverage in the process.
Imagine if he had effectively coordinated with Mexico, Canada and the EU to curb Chinese trade practices.
Consumption is not just low, it’s intentionally suppressed.
That’s an odd non sequitur. I’m simply describing why a lot of the short positions are not from people who have any opinion on the value of the stock. They are engaged in an almost mechanical arbitrage like trade.
People tend to imagine that all short sellers have some fundamental disagreement with the current value of the security, or are trying to manipulate to the value for some reason. It’s useful to understand there is a lot of volume that does not really care about the value debate one way or another.
A lot of the short dated options are market makers and index arbs hedging.
Seems odd that they don't discuss a common reason to short a stock: you expect it to go down, without any real opinion on the business. In this case there is going to be a ton of new float fairly soon. It's a pretty safe bet that this will depress the price. So the natural trade is to sell now (short), and buy later (cover the short). That effectively moves the future price drop to "now", which is likely what we see. This is just one way (of many) in which the market factors future events into today's price, which is sort of the whole point.
Most people would not describe the observable behavior of someone just over the legal limit as drunk.
Do they have a trademark on the word apple with no other context? I thought it was Apple computer, which is distinct.
Yes. This was a deal: add us to the index and we will list on your exchange.
Many retirement accounts have limited options, leaving few passive index options. I sort of doubt many would offer qqq but not s&p, but it’s possible
You could buy QQNE :)
They have some flexibility.
And beyond that there is a lot of capital in active funds that use an index as their benchmark. So they don’t have to buy anything, but they are trying to beat their benchmark so not buying is an active decision with risk.
CRSP has always had a short waiting period, they did not change it.
They did lower the free float rule
It varies by jurisdiction in the US.
I’m against flock the company. I’m in favor of a narrower form of plate recorders.
Sure. So file a request with a judge including evidence that the car has been stolen, and a reasonable time window and location.
