The data sovereignty initiatives have been massively promoted by US policy. All this advocacy will achieve is make the US look even less trustworthy.

The US military budget hasn't been reduced and the adventurism is going on as strong as ever, so that doesn't seem to be the reason.
Not just non-Apple devices. I have a machine with older MacOS and the current Apple keyboard doesn't report battery status. I can't think of a reason why that would work differently from Apple's own older keyboards, but it does.
I think the passthrough is more useful when there's a VR OS to take advantage of it (map your real room/hands/kb/screen onto VR, let you pin stuff, etc.) and I'm not sure Valve is even planning to do that, or anyone is on the Linux side of things (?)
They themselves are the best at doing it, really.
Or they'd have looked at whatever images the system had used for its decision and see it was a false positive without having to send anyone over.
Just about anything that has a repl has a better repl than Python.
The main reason I voted against was because it is tied to smartphones with only the vaguest promise that it won't stay so. Ironically one of the arguments in favor was independence from megacorporations (or foreign countries for that matter). But you couldn't find this point in the main opposition website. The opposition was very weak with weak arguments and the parliament was massively in favor.
I think a squat format like 4:5 would be much more practical than 9:16 or whatever most phones are. It's unfortunate that's the format that's come to dominate, especially when you consider the rise of vertical video.
The vector version of these is used in antenna theory to represent and transform the radiation of finite sources, like when measuring antenna patterns.
The biggest roadblocks are 1) lack of continued effort and 2) reticence on the Emacs side. I'd say 1) is the most important by far.
I've seen left handed people tilt the paper 90° and write more or less downwards. Their writing looked fine.
My bank's app has a built in messaging system, but they seem to hate using it themselves. When they want to contact me they always call, or they send me paper letters. If I contact them through the app, they don't reply there but call me about it. It's bizarre.
Apple sells a wire. It's $300.
BLIS is a different library from BLAS, with a better API. For example when you pass an array, you can pass independent strides for all axes, and you can give independent transpose/conjugate flags. It does have a BLAS compatibility interface.
The interface isn't perfect though. For example they didn't commit to supporting zero strides. That used to work anyway, but it's broken now for some archs.
if you compare the c64 palette to other ~16 color computers of the era, the c64 has a definite brownish/purplish tint to it, i don't think the video misrepresents it.
in the text modes of old computers, there isn't anything to separate one character from those next to it, so that space has to be in the character itself.
I'd put Portugal and Ireland in the western zone.
If 8 GB is ok for you, you don't need an M3 chip with tons of cores, either. You can just keep using your old laptop. Apple has kept the same base memory on these machines for a decade and now they are horribly unbalanced.
Homophones can be disambiguated in writing the same way they are disambiguated in speech, or they can just fall into disuse and be replaced.
You have the why right there. The first time it was to show up the Soviets, but it was monstruously expensive and they couldn't compete, so there was no reason to keep doing it. And now it's less expensive and the Chinese are stronger and so on.
It's a good point that aliasing issues may show up as different warnings, like maybe-uninitialized in the example. Those warnings are often not obvious at all.
Get better as in knowing what to do, not so much about fast reactions or very precise timing of the controls, etc. Those help if you want to beat the games 'the hard way' but there are always easier ways. The gameplay is more about finding what those are, rather than banging your head against the wall trying the same approach over and over, which is a trap some players fall into.
Pdfs often have huge margins, so a feature I'd like to have is soft crop - just for viewing, without modifying the file, like goodreader has. Although it's not as important on desktop as it is on a tablet.
evince does that when you hover over links.
But those forms depend on the gender of the subject, not on the gender of the speaker. It's just grammatical gender.
People who need those papers for whatever reason and need to use them/cite them will be forced to purchase them regardless
Why?
I don't run Emacs as a server because it freezes occasionally and it's very painful to have a couple dozen windows in eight workspaces go down.
If I could rely on Emacs never freezing, I'd be happy to run it as a server.
xkill ?
But I agree. Emacs should be faster.
You'd tax global profit based on the local revenue fraction. So if the corporation has global profits of 1M and the revenue is 90% in country A and 10% in country B, then country A taxes 0.9M of profit and country B taxes 0.1M of profit and neither has to care where the corporation is located 'for tax purposes'.
