I haven't found an OCR tool reliable enough when it comes to scanned PDFs containing financial data where accuracy of amounts in the document is very important.
Although keto & low carbohydrates is an important topic, there are many other causes & solutions discussed in the book. For example:
1- Genetics & Epigenetics
2- Chemical Imbalances, Neurotransmitters & medications
3- Inflammation
4- Sleep, light & Circadian Rythms
5- Food, Fasting & your gut
6- Drugs & Alcohol
7- Physical activity
8- Love, Adversity & purpose in life
If I understand correctly, one of the main ideas is that mental disorders are metabolic disorders of the brain.
Then in part 3 of the book, Dr Palmer(author) explains the causes & solutions mentioned above.
Has anyone read the book “Brain Energy”. I think it can be life changing for some people with mental illness. Even if you just have minor depression from time to time.
I tried using the vision feature for OCR & it was worse than Tesseract. At least for financial documents where you need exact numbers amounts. Will the new PDF feature be better? I’m not so hopeful.
Lol. I guess I was referring to try something different. Not that I’m an expert but have tried many things & one of the best was taking classes for a hobby I enjoy. You met people with similar interest & have something to talk about. The mere fact of interacting with people & see life from a different perspective can have a real impact. Of course this is just the beginning.
It was my experience that OCRing scanned PDFs, would result in many small errors. For example “Alt” could be interpreted as “A|t”. Did you had those problems? How did you fixed it? What about other languages?
Also anecdotal. And some people are ultra-slow metabolizers, which can cause the drugs to stay in the body longer than anyone could have anticipated. So the effects of 1 pill daily can feel like twice that amount since previous day dosis is still in the blood.
Some ideas:
Signup for classes of some hobby you really like.
Read good books about something that can help you see life from a different perspective.
