I also have to do this kind of work (with financial data), and actually built a product to make it easy. It's currently in closed beta but please send me an email (listed in my profile) if this is truly a frequent pain for you and you'd like to try it out.

this site has unfortunately become a Reddit-like echo chamber
Me too, only 5 years ago.
No it doesn't. It works because of insulin regulation.
actual coup
will be elected
An election is not a coup just because you disagree with the elected peoples' views.
Yes, so they take risk, and they should get a return. You will get your money no matter what, so your return is close to nothing. There's no greed or deception here – it's just market forces. If you want a higher return, buy a bond like the bank.
Get ready for the "calories in calories out" people to come after you. Intermittent fasting also helped me lose around 15 pounds but in around half the time with a 20 hour fasting window.
Money doesn't automatically grow – you need to take risk to get a return. Your checking account takes no risk, so your bank shouldn't really pay much for you to keep your money in your account.
It's more about convention. Typically, PUT overwrites data, whereas POST adds data. If you PUT to /users/3 you overwrite a user, whereas if you POST to /users you add a user.
React made me 10 times faster, and I'm not exaggerating.

I don't use Reddit or any other social networks. This is the only site I post anything on. My suggestion to put a trade on instead of just saying stupid things on the Internet comes from institutional trading culture.
Anyone can say anything. Almost nobody backs it up with money.
If you really believe it doesn't have "any value at all" then I invite you to sell it short. That's a free $30,000. The nice thing about markets is that you can express your opinion, and that market opinions without corresponding positions can be ignored.
Beyond a certain level, salary doesn't matter. There's a base salary and there's upside, so if you create something profitable, you'll get paid significantly more. In finance, bonuses are many multiples of your salary, dependent on your performance. It's similar in tech, where the RSUs are how you make your money.
You can't post bonuses/equity, since it really depends on your performance.
Your post assumes that you're doing some task, but with most of the jobs people on this site go for, you're paid to be creative and commercial and not to just perform some job.
The MacBook Pro Touch Bar taught me to use caps lock as escape. I recently got the new MacBook Pro 16" that has an escape key, but I still use caps lock now.
My company offers exactly this kind of product. We’re currently offering it to institutional investors, but if you’re interested, would love to talk and discuss your use case. My email is my username at alum dot MIT dot edu.
No, not really. I'm just explaining how a real trading desk works. If you express an opinion without putting a trade on, that opinion is worthless.
Another way to say that you don't want to put your money where your mouth is.
If you think it's overvalued then you should be short the stock. We've seen how that played out for other shorts.
Firebase Hosting is really good for this kind of thing. You can even expand it later to add more dynamic content.
Who cares about emissions, seriously? Imagine millions of humans were being slaughtered instead of animals. I'm glad you're thinking about this, but the big problem with eating meat is not emissions, it's the suffering of millions of sentient beings.
For all others: Please go ahead and downvote this comment. You're not a lion hunting prey for food. You're just a guy buying a dead animal at a store.
As for your original question, I became a vegetarian 5 years ago and it's only had a positive impact on my health.
Goldman Sachs is more like a collection of companies (divisions) than one company. Further, there is often a Chinese Wall between divisions preventing them from having access to one another to prevent insider trading.
The second password can be compressed almost to nothing, whereas the first password can't be compressed at all. This to me says that the first password is a lot more secure.
"Also, unlike Windows or Linux, you can’t “maximize” a window using the green “zoom” button, it will only make the current window fullscreen (and again, on its own desktop)."
Just hold option when you click on the "zoom" button.
Your other complaint, about Alt-Tab, is just a preference. I actually prefer this behavior over Windows.
The $2k deposit is only for really expensive cars.
It actually comes down to a few simple algorithms, only one of which I didn't see in college. These kinds of water problems use a "monotonic stack" if I remember correctly. That's the algorithm that I didn't see in school.
In reality, after you practice a lot of these problems, you realize that there are only a few broad categories and that most of them just use what you learned in school. You just have to practice to become fast.
To go against all the negative comments here - I love Turo and use it all the time. The comment regarding money laundering doesn't even make sense - Turo charges for insurance and fees, it would be an expensive way to launder money. The fact that you don't see the final price right away is annoying but not uncommon. It's usually way cheaper than traditional car rental companies, anyway.
You're 100% right about this. What's going on right now with mass slaughter of animals will hopefully end one day soon and be looked back on as the darkest time in the Earth's history.
I'm doing what the parent comment suggested. The line of credit should be margin - you borrow against your stocks. If you use Fidelity, you can call them and ask them to lower your interest rate, and it can actually get really low.
In Las Vegas, always tip the front desk person. When you give them your ID and credit card, also include a $20 bill - or a green chip if you've already started gambling. It's in Las Vegas culture to tip everyone all the time. About half the time, I got a room upgrade that far exceeds the tip while doing this, although that's not really the point.
MIT doesn't offer scholarships to anyone. It only offers need-based aid.
Debt is a very useful financial tool that's misunderstood by a lot of people. These kinds of "TAKE THE MONEY" comments conflate credit cards used to buy a TV with a student loan to go to MIT. This "TAKE THE MONEY" will be almost worthless compared with the enormous returns that you get from an MIT education.
