I think the biggest problem is that there are many many bad tutorials/book about javascript and only a few good once.

Often people wane code javascript like language X but javascript isen't language X! You must learn it like every other language! But if often see people doing javascript "when they need it". Nobody writes C just cause they need it... Normally people just sit down and read a book about C.

why such article gets so much up votes? 90% of the apps he is referring to are working on "linux" the same way...

Linux is just the Kernel... and Mac isen't an OS too...

We will fix nothing if we don't change the OS on that we are running...

We can Install this software and this firewall and this make things easy tool but at the end we still are on the same OS.

skype just uses an http tunnel cause mostly the 80 port is open so no magic here(it does some more tricks but this is on).

I dont think skype is easy just look at the UI... i dont like skype for linux it never works on my laptop...

making data available to everyone for free is the better way.

1. If i got the data i can make a list of strange companies and put this information out to the Internet.

2. How says that this Information is correct? you can scan my facebook profile what you will find: that i live in Australia but i dont. Yes my Ip give it away where i live but i can use a proxy. I like this and i like that but do i Really?

3. School/University Rankings are full of facts that are wrong and dont cover the reality.

Sry but if you only see data in the aspect to analyze it you could miss the beauty of the data. MP3 Files are just data but what makes them special? the noise we get out of the speaker.

this "easy" deployment only works cause most webservers allready got the apache mods,php,mysql dependencys installed.

deploying a rails app on a server where ruby and the needed databse is installed is also "easy"

i stopped reading when i saw "JVM".

i really dont get it why this is so popular... maybe it makes your code faster yes but it comes with all the cluter that is the JVM.

The JVM is a big black box and I think its veryhard to see whats happening inside.

have someone tried to write a patch for the JVM? no? then try!

I got a Ivy Bridge Zenbook and i can get up to 7 hours battery life thie is even better like windows.

i use powertop to reach this.

i loved gnome2 but i dont like the gnome-shell! gtk3 is really really cool and thanks to gnometk3 we have mate and Cinemone

but the best thing is elementary os Luna this is an amazing distro and the best desktop for me.

i also like crunchbang linux on slower boxes.

I Don't got todo lists! I got Questions!

This maybe a little bit queer but FOR ME it works!

How it works: First i dont got a APP! i got a little paper notebook and when i got a Task i dont write down:"make the CSS work better". I Write:"How can you make the css better?". Mostly the questions are tighter and more to the point but this is just an example. I use diffrent Colors too ! Black/Blue just to write it down Red/Green/Orange/etc. for things that let me later know what i thought that moment. I Carry that thing always with me! ALWAYS! Maybe a Solution for a problem comes in my mind when iam at the Metro or on the Street.

Why i do that? I dont like Tasks! Tasks always have this: you MUST do that and that... baaah NO I dont like it.

Really DONT use a APP! Wunderlist, the milk thing, evernote etc. are ALL good app's but the just all take to long!

Maybe this will change with a Touchscreen and pen but i like my paper notebook :)
