Never going to happen, that Apple buys Facebook. But for those that own $FB stock, now languishing below 30, it's an interesting dream.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. I bet most users go about their daily lives like this is happening already. I for one, assumed that this sharing was happening already (really, it'd be silly for Google not to do it) and went about my daily life without being affected by it. Most of the 153 million Americans using Google wouldn't give a damn. At least Google is being open an honest about it, unlike other companies who change TOS without really letting the user know. FUBAR indeed.
log out of facebook and visit the same page, you can sign up with just an email address.
Enjoyed the defrost button :)
Are you saying the UK doesn't have a credit score system or that it's not used in the same way as it is in the US? Because I'm constantly getting emails from Experian asking me to do a free credit check, etc. etc.
I used to live in the US and was a big fan of Mint. There's nothing I miss more than seeing a single financial snapshot, tracking, budgeting, etc. all in a single place.
Oh, also - security by inconvenience (i.e. the HSBC secure key) isn't really security.
Secure is relative. The HSBC crap-gadget that one has to carry around on a key chain is susceptible to easy theft/loss. Anyway, "security" is a poor reason to not have such a great service in the UK
Well done, Mint. Now if you could get a service up and running in the UK? Pretty please?
There's some interesting stuff in the comment associated with the image and the JS file as well
It is a horrible mess here, which is a great service like Mint.com can't be provided either.
I for one, love the branding. I think this is a leap forward in banking. I don't get why so many people are confused about the concept or don't like the name. Seriously...who cares about a statement or where it comes from? Those are old paradigms that need to be destroyed. Good job, Simple! I'm just sad that I can't get in the UK.
How soon can we something like this in Europe?
and the relevance to this article is?
Okay, so the article has some valid arguments. But why use Steve Jobs to make a point about drugs?
Need this for my wife. Will that camera's RAW format need to be compatible with this algorithm?
Very nice, just created my first service. It's like pipes for the everyday man!
Like it, helps throw up tweets I'd otherwise have missed. Some tweets are in way to small a font to read. Would also like to see a version where the timeline is not the same as Twitters default time line, but is one based on degrees.
I've previously suggested that MG and some of the crew should go join the upcoming Verge
It's the law of cycles. Techcrunch has had a good run, but in the internet era, a fast paced blog can't last forever. See the downhill progress of Engadget and Gizmodo. Time to make room for a new king of the hill.
When is one be considered an immigrant? Is it: 1) simply living in a land that one was not born in immigration; or 2) giving up one's citizenship at birth for another?
Going by the first definition, I've lived in 2 foreign countries for lengthy periods, so have I immigrated twice? But I still am a citizen of where I was born (India) and I do intend to eventually move back to home country, so am I not an immigrant at all?
