To do what exactly? They have been nothing but EU funds leech and corporiders.

Every single model is (and always was) behind anything from China.

I wish Europe could find one company that can put us on the map but Mistral’s not it. They have repeatedly shown that extra funding doesn’t magically transfer to better models.

I don’t think you will be on latest nightly. LTS are good and stable, if FEX is targeting those specs I don’t see a stability issue.

I have 3 Nikon Coolscans and I also repair them…

I would love a new scanner for 21st century but there just no way anyone serious is trading CCD (or PMT if you got the cash) for CMOS.

But I applaud the initiative and will definitely buy it to try but not to keep.

based on my experience im going to assume you don’t keep the strict 8 hours maximum and also work at home. you need more boundaries, that helped me a bit

Electromagnetic Radiation: HHS in partnership with other Departments and federal agencies will undertake a study on electromagnetic radiation and health research to identify gaps in knowledge, including on new technologies to ensure safety and efficacy.

This is absolutely fine by me. There is nothing hyperbolic about the statement and it's quite literally just a research request. How did it got turned into this headline?

Having been acquired by Google, there is always a leeway for the execs to take the employees with them. Google is a weak negotiator when they NEED something.

On the other hand, I can imagine the execs taking Google golden handcuffs while trying to close the Cognition deal so the employees are made whole or maybe even on better terms than if they all went to Google.

actively harmed by US tech giants

Both Nokia and Skype went under due to usual European leadership stagnation and comfort before getting bought. Thankfully both sales funneled enough funds into EU to bootstrap a startup culture here.

Actually, that's not correct. The controversy you might be thinking of was about Subway's bread in Ireland, where in 2020 the Supreme Court ruled that Subway's bread couldn't be legally classified as "bread" for tax purposes because it contained about 5 times more sugar than allowed under Irish law - around 10% of the flour's weight, not 10% of the total bread composition.

The Irish law stated that for bread to be considered a "staple food" (and thus qualify for tax exemption), the sugar content couldn't exceed 2% of the flour's weight. This is different from saying the bread is 10% sugar overall.

The actual sugar content in Subway bread varies, but it's typically around 5-6 grams of sugar per half a bread. That’s higher than traditional bread but lower than many other commercial ones.

Except for burgerland, EU prices include taxes and are pretty much same in all jurisdictions, especially for electronics.

What are you talking about? Why would you multiply the bandwidth? 8 4090s is still 1000GB/s. While the M2 Ultra is 800GB/s with a top of 192GB VRAM. Metal can access ~155GB, so you need a bit more, but your comparison makes absolutely zero sense.
