I don't care about writing code, all I care is that my work (non-tech) needs to be done. I code out of necessity to save more time, reduce labour and errors. LLM has made a non-programmer like myself and given me super powers, all I have to do is ask the right questions and I am directed to somewhat of a reasonable place to look for a solution and create ones. I can create CRUD apps, use api's and various stacks from multiple programming languages while referencing documentation to build and practice building pretty much what I desire which could have costed me a fortune and a lot of time from professional coders, some work I could not give to anyone else for maintaining confidentiality.

Old ways die harder
Paul Maritz also explained to Intel representatives that Microsoft’s response to the browser threat was to “embrace, extend, extinguish”; in other words, Microsoft planned to “embrace” existing Internet standards, “extend” them in incompatible ways, and thereby “extinguish” competitors.
I love free book browsing and hosting. This looks like a good project.
China is what the US used to be. Even Charlie Munger said that they are displaying more mercantile behaviour whereas the US is being protectionist and enforcing non-trade based policies across the globe.
If the system is expecting population to grow infinitely and holding everyone to hostage for it then the system needs to change.
I suspect the problem could be the bluetooth technology itself.
Monopoly/Duopoly is a natural result of competitive advantage.
During drought, I can sell a glass of water to people dying of thirst for a bag of gold.
We also have to acknowledge that human population is highest it's ever been and there needs thus increasing reasons and motivations to damage and poison this planet and harm the lives of every other specie just trying to survive.
He very likely not be "irrelevant" for the foreseeable future when people speak about behaviour.
Nobody wants to really take responsibility of humans being able to eat.
It's simple! Maintain the control and the capability to retrieve your important data at all times. The internet is a wild place and everything you don't save could potentially be gone forever.
Don't mind my curiosity but I wonder if you do offsite backup of your emails or just take it for granted that Gmail is a reliable enough service ? It is very important to me but I never even considered backing up my Google takeout data. The point I want to make is that service reliability is a critical factor when considering what to backup. It was expected from Heroku to do the right thing and be conservative in their approach.
Amazon has lead the way to a philosophy of hire early and fire early. This is why they have run out of people who would like to work for them with the same conditions that they offered before.
The government's you guys "democratically elected" cause pain to the working classes and did everything that the wealthy and asset owning classes dreamed of. What is the point of democracy if there is no democracy at the workplace itself ? Most workplaces are top down central command authoritarian structures and that is what we all have to face day to day, everyday.
Lichess is free to use but they do post their expenses and they would appreciate support from the chess playing community.
I own a shorter domain that this one. Only if I knew how to make a multi-tenant sub-domain registering application.
I believe quitting is the last option that workers resort to when there are effectively no organisations and institutions that really represent any of their interest.
Workers take a huge risk every time they quit. To be on an always ready to quit mode and for that to be an enticing says a lot about the general work culture.
They just want free sacrifices for nothing or for firing you.
The fear for nuclear power is a manufactured one because there is almost no technological difference in the capabilities required to use nuclear power for energy and for weapons. Having many nuclear capable countries would mean a major shift in geopolitical situation of the planet, it would end up in choice of catastrophic destruction or permanent peace.
I believe that countries that are already nuclear capable would always prefer to keep their advantage while using overblown fear propaganda about nuclear energy to create a deterrent for their population about nuclear power in order to maintain the status quo especially during difficult times.
Many have unaddressed safety concerns that could potentially lead to a disaster. They are exporting at the highest rates while having the local markets vulnerable to the price shocks.

Every inventor and engineer did it. It is not about the labour hours saved, but what is done with the saving and how the savings are used.
We have been making huge leaps in productivity gains for the last many decades but the gains have shall I say not put into progress of all mankind but to maintain the status quo of the profit based system by any means necessary.
I used to be updated with the latest tech, but as I grow older, my capacity to learn and adapt quickly has dropped. I never thought that I would be the one saying this but I do admit that I find the pace of change difficult to keep up with. I now believe it is a natural process of ageing and even though I don't want to give up, I think I eventually may just throw my hands up.
Whatever doesn't suit our cartels agenda is considered as a distortion.
Skinner likened psychologists to creationists in the field of brain and behaviour.
Imagine how thankful a duck should feel to walk on land, swim over and under water and also fly. If ducks got more time, they would've ruled the planet.
The early days of internet for me were mIRC, ICQ, yahoo groups, geocities, MSN Messenger. Thanks for reminding me of that special feeling. I hope you have a great day too.
My personal experience:
Apologies in advance because it is really impossible to put it in words. When I consumed golden teachers the first time, I was physically in my room but the mental layer was lifted up and it flew up into the outer space, and as I had passed many far away galaxies I was there and eventually into a void. I saw some seriously scary creatures in the darkness of the void and there were millions around me, somehow from the deepest parts of my mind, what I perceived to be the scariest(I never told exactly what to anyone) had materialised in millions right in front of me. I was facing my worst fears a million trillion times amplified. Suddenly everything including me burst into smallest of particles so miniscule and it was just patterns and then I found my mental state inside my own blood stream feeling all the movement and rapid flows. Came out of there and I felt the suffering of death of this planet and fear of every person and every living creature that lived in the past until now combined on this planet at once right then. Sounds like my worst nightmare but throughout the journey there was a back voice guiding me to manage me and suggest me and everything I went through was almost consensual, like the depth was only offered to me when I consented to it and as if there was a friend to help me. There was a point I was getting auditory feedback and I was turning away from that depth and I did not consent to and so I didn't go into that part. When I was facing my fears the voice suggested to observe that they were actually harmless and they were just existing and simply doing their own thing. Something really deep inside of me was fixed. There is a lot more to the experience that I actually cannot put in words.
They quoted me $350 Australian/year for yearly map updates last year. I was hoping they would've humbled a bit in 10 years.
It is probably inadequate by design.
