I have had Prii since 2001 (back when it was a sedan). Had good experience with them until recently: 2011 prius with 110K miles had to have it's engine replaced. Decided to do that instead of getting another car because anecdata tells me this was an aberration.

Overfishing of sardines happen because most of it is ground up and used as feed in aquaculture (which is very inefficient). Instead, if you consume sardines directly, it will be a more sustainable enterprise.

I usually skim the code to get an idea of patterns and organization, get it working in a local environment and then run/step-through the code. This usually gives a good idea of what different pieces do.

India is a more hierarchical society in general, and one doesn't feel the need to thank the servile class for services rendered. Outside family and close circle of friends, a "thank you" can lubricate social interactions.
