I contributed to Phabricator a few times, and Evan was a pleasure to work with. I'm sorry to see it go but I hope for the best for Evan. I really hope this is a goodbye on to something great.

Phabricator will hold a great place in my heart as software written by a developer for developers that is well thought out, dog-fooded to the max, and fun.

My hope is that it can be well stewarded by a company into continuity. I wish I had the time to do so.

In short, thank you Evan and all those in the community for many years of wonderful software development.

I did something similar but for macOS. I used Frida, a really easy toolkit for intercepting native calls.

I find it interesting how the solution to the OTP SMS problem is to provide the SMS Receiver API. I think the iOS keyboard OTP suggestion is the right way to do that. An SMS Receiver API, even if secure, just seems like a backwards way to solve this problem.

Disclaimer: Not a moon landing denier or anything of that sort, I’ve just educated myself on why people think this.

My understanding is that people believe that they did indeed launch a rocket but that the landing on the moon was faked. Some claim they were in orbit around the earth the whole time, some others claim they went around the moon but staged the landing. There are even some who believe that we did land on the moon but there was a tape that was staged in the event of an accident. The level of moon landing denial varies by each and every person.

That's awesome! More stuff is in the works too, I plan to start working on a UI for pmOS on Glass. For such an interesting piece of hardware, it's so sad to see it just waste away :)

I contributed support for Google Glass nearly two years ago, went on a long hiatus, came back, and reflashed... it still works!

The people in the pmOS community are also amazing, big thanks to them for a wonderful project, hope there are many great years ahead.

Cue the people trying to claim that anyone in this entire world is unbiased. I'm biased, you're biased, everyone's biased. CNN is biased, NYT is biased, Fox News is biased, NPR is biased. We should all stop pretending that our own news source is unbiased. It's simply not true.

If you meant to reply to my comment, Google is perhaps the largest deployer of Yubico products, and that is where their collaboration holds the most weight.

If there is a security issue with YubiKeys, it puts Google's corporate systems at risk.

I think this goes along with the (perhaps perceived) increase in self-centeredness in society.

The real reason is Google buys YubiKeys enmasse from them for employee use (every employee has one), and works with them closely on in various ways.

In fact, they were closely involved when developing the USB Type-C variant.

The "fire" in a movie theater argument is a horse than has been beaten to death for so long, and I seriously doubt anyone who says this phrase knows it's history, or even cares to think for themselves about how much of a cliche it is.

There are some studies that show that suicide rates are the higher than normal in areas where manufacturing jobs have dried up. Surprised nobody even mentions that on HN, although on second thought, it's probably not that surprising.

Breitbart has an interesting theory on this: Present your bias, and admit your publication has a world view, because even NPR has a world view.

Nobody is unbiased, so stop trying to be unbiased, and present how you see it. Then, a real reader will go to multiple "view points" and gather their own opinion.

A few logical errors: 1. He doesn't have a web browser because of the security concerns, and this is not unique to him. 2. Trump using a computer is a rare photo, same can be said for many many celebrities (career politicians at a computer is rather not rare due to public filming in Congressional buildings for example) 3. Trump has been known to be a late-night researcher (Cruz's father killed JFK?, InfoWars, etc.)

I've been afraid of this. I've been working at a company for over 2 years. I'm 17, started here right after I turned 15. I've worked on many high profile projects. I've experienced a lot of respect, even with my age, but I don't want that to fade away in years to come.
