Yeah I pay 65 Euros a month for an unlimited mobile data plan with Deutsche Telekom, and that's with a young person discount and without a phone included.

There isn't an intermediary api. Aws amplify is a Backend as a Service, and so your components directly query the database instead of you building an api and building the querying logic for the frontend .

By web app, I believe the author meant apps served in a browser, not a mobile app made from html/css/js with a cordova/capacitorjs wrapper. Also, google has problems delivering functionality in general. Have you tried using google home? It never works properly for me, and for some reason I can't log in to my family's home with my google workspaces account. Most things except for search are a mess there, and search is getting worse as well.

I agree that tailwind may not be the most elegant way to style a webpage, and I also prefer classes and regular css or sass, but I don't think you will convince anyone to give up tailwind with such a toxic comment. Perhaps it would just be better if you stopped ruining hn for the rest of us. Additionally, styling and accessibility are not related (unless your layout is terrible, but that is just as doable with css).

I imagine these would be very interesting, but not very applicable to humans (which I presume is the intended outcome). OTOH, since these language models are trained on human language and media, they might have some value. I'm quite split on which I think is more likely (I don't have any experience in ai/ml nor in psychology so what do I know).

something addictive is something that you can't stop even if you want to. There are lots of reasons why someone would want to stop doing something that is fun, but if it is addictive they can't.

if it helps, you could use middleware in next.js to handle routing to separate folders easier.

I think some things need to be built out some more, like their postgres and adding more storage after creation, but in general it's really enjoyable to use. The pricing seems fair, and their blog is intersting and fun to read.

Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled a week before it's finally ready.
