In my experience, claude cowork has been pretty much useless. for the desktop control, it just seems like the The accessibility stuff is just not there yet on macOS to support it.
I think that Elon Musk went from being recognized as a genius to being recognized as a genius but someone who's harder to take seriously, because of all the ketamine he was doing for a little while there. I think that really damaged his reputation. You just can't help but look at him and think, he's a little bit of a jackass. It really shows how drugs can really mess up your reputation.
That's funny, I just asked the same thing. Usually employers aren't interested in people looking for jobs, they're interested in people that already have jobs.Maybe in an ideal world it would be otherwise, but we don't live in that world. When you don't have a job, you're kinda fucked.
Yeah, I've been crossing my fingers that they do some kind of reverse rug pull. I think most of the world is.
Smart marketing because it takes the wind out of your sails and then blows it right back and makes you feel like they're generous when all along they're just doing standard operating procedure.
screen.cam records your Mac and turns it into a polished video. Smart zooms follow your cursor. Filler words come out automatically. AI-assisted YouTube uploads.
But the difference is I actually like artificial intelligence and the capabilities it provides. No one can predict the future. I don't know if it's going to make my life better or worse. But if you think you're gonna start an uprising and change the world while this thing is in motion, you're deluding yourself. Might as well adapt and make the best of it. Much better than getting steamrolled and not getting anything out of it.
don't want to hang out with him any more because he'll have his phone with him and it's automatic for him now.
This post sounds like selfishness/self-preservation masquerading as concern for humanity and the environment. You can be anti-AI all you want. You're wasting your breath and energy.
I don't know if the quality of my life has gone up because I have these tools that help me build things in exchange for less job prospects.
All I know is: it's not up to me, I don't get to choose, and I have to adapt to the situation. I don't bitch about it and condemn others for doing the same.
Call me bitter. These are the same people who have been decrying and arguing with me that AI would never get where it is now. Stop your kicking and screaming already. It's not helping anyone.
What a naïve article. People don’t write software this way anymore. A Gannt chart? We don’t use those anymore.
People have to stop promoting this narrative of the AI doesn’t make you move faster as it’s not helping anybody.
I get it. We all worked hard for our skills and it’s really difficult watching them get automated away, but it’s been this way since the printing press assembly lines and the industrial revolution itself. Things change, and you have to adapt to them and stop thinking about it from a centric point of view. The narrative people should be pushing is that you can build great things with AI.
Of course you might not have a job for a while and yes, that’s a big deal but it doesn’t mean that AI is wrong or stupid. It means you have to adapt.
