HR and school admin are the same in that many mistakenly think they are there to help the employee or the student. That is not true. They are there to protect the institution, to manage and mitigate risk and liability. Any assistance to employees or students is a side effect of that work.

Disagree that it’s hard to automate. There are services and tools that make it easy. I use micro.blog which can cross-post to as many or few socials as you want. (I’m not affiliated, just a happy user.)
And I’m not sure it’s about traffic rather than about, well, being active in multiple different communities. You cross-post where you don’t mind participating, and ignore the rest.

I have no programming skill at all and I don’t know a ton about ArchiveBox except I set it up and ran it for myself for a while, so I’m asking as an innocent, ignorant and curious geek, but is this something that could be adapted to peer to peer distribution or some other means of making it simultaneously as private and local as you want it and as distributed and bulletproof, uptime wise, as possible?
For a while it’s my experience that 1Password doesn’t play nicely with… anything. I’ve had issues on Orion, Firefox, Chrome, Brave, Edge and Safari across MacOS and Windows machines.
I still use FF, for now anyway, so I’m not trying to be a dick here, but we’re talking less than 4% market share, so it’s hard to fault a small team for prioritizing the 82% they get with Chrome+Safari

It’s more like after you use it for a little while you look up and suddenly realize you’re in a new but familiar feeling community. It definitely skews developer/blogger/liberal, is openly inclusive and mindful of accessibility (not perfect, but always trying), there's a lot of overlap with various micro.blog/IndieWeb/fediverse communities, a lot of folks with active GitHub accounts doing interesting stuff, a strong photographer contingent, an overarching “positive vibe” as the kids say, and a clear sense that you don’t have to remind the kind of folks who enjoy using omg.lol that there’s a person on the other side of the keyboard.
Maybe that still doesn’t make much sense to you, but while I’m happy to pay for cool stuff people make on the internet, I’m paid up with omg.lol through 2030, which just isn’t something I would do anywhere else.
I haven't trusted the spam button or unsubscribe functions for a long time. It never felt like it worked. I've been making filters to auto delete stuff instead and it just works.
