Sometimes it just takes talking to the right person to get your start. It may take a few thousand no's, but one yes can change your life. This story is inspirational and reminds me that you have to put yourself out and communicate with others not just build a great product.

A lot of great points shared. I like how door dash talks about hacking solutions together to make it work. To improve the efficiency the way a business is ran you have to understand all its components. In their case it was driving cars, charging transactions, etc. starting crappy is ok as long as you continuously improve.

yeah i figured that much, but sometimes it seems like this is also just a spoon fed explanation that the phone companies give us so that they can charge us crazy prices like $10/gb of bandwidth a month. I am skeptical that the full truth is being revealed here.

Would be a booming startup for sure. Very surprised google has not taken this one on. I hate being forced to have only once choice for internet (cox). You know that there is not much of incentive for them to do a good job when they have no competition!!!!

I like the presentation. Very easy to follow along in the beginning, but you kinda lose me at 1:59. I think you can do a better job explaining this. Really think that the phone view next to the website view is a great touch.

With todoist if you complete a task it crosses it out, which really looks great visually if you are checking off a list. maybe if you check one of the rows, finished column, it crosses out everything in that row.

catchy title and this was a great reminder of finding the balance between speed and quality. Many answers that I was looking for have been presented through user growth and interaction. Without getting my app up there, it would be very difficult to come to that conclusion. I have also found that building a solid foundation can save time in the future even though it may cost more time currently.

A super simple example would be writing lines of code. Making sure all the tags line up properly and everything is commented out will allow the app to flow more efficiently in the future. Go-fast/efficiently

I am curious if they plan to incorporate streaming into the itunes. With spotify blowing up it would be great to offer the best of both worlds, which would be streaming and owning mp3.

If they plan on just shutting the whole thing down, I think it is a big mistake. Streaming music has entered people's lives in a big way and will only become more widely used.

I really like the part of the article that talks about taking breaks. Entrepreneurs = work hard. I am a big believer in working on nights when others are having a good time, but you got to take care of yourself. Burning out only slows you down ultimately.

I like to surround myself with family and activities I love to recharge my battery. Often when I come back to working on my project the creative ideas come flowing out.

I think #2 should be #1, it is insane on how many people can not articulate what their website is about in a sentence or two. It becomes so frustrating for a brand new user to visit a website and reads a bunch of marketing gibberish.

Sometimes I think that a good test would be to have a 7 year old come to home page of the website. Let him look around and then report back to you what the website is about. :)
