Just my opinion but even if I wanted somebody with a good sense of humour, if they can't be serious at the appropriate time I'd write them off. I'd say no. But good luck & you know your audience better so try it, you can always change it :)

Seperate the big companies into two groups. Those that provide content & those that don't.
The companies who provide content are more appealing to the end user and so Tier 1 IP providers will be interested in allowing them to host CDN platforms on the edge and connect into their networks so even if they do pay, it will be a very competitive rate. Then peering agreements will reduce the requirement for purchasing IP even more.
Companies who don't provide content but are huge, will have a department specifically for negotiating competitive rates & will again take advantage of peering in a big way.
Dark fibre is a different product to IP transit but again, negotiation teams will work to get huge discount.
Would be good if you could personalise the suggested sites by adding url's. The suggestions seem to be run of the mill news sites everyone else has already tweeted. If you prefer unique content it's not going to find it. I'd like it to trawl sites I frequent often and pull articles on key words maybe?
Just log in so they can tweet on your behalf, follow on your behalf.... It'll be fine!
