I'm a huge Nintendo/Mario fan but I've recently been playing through Astro Bot on my PS5 and I must say, when you combine super fun mechanics with amazing graphics and performance, it's quite an experience! But there isn't nearly enough content like this on the non-Nintendo consoles, so point is definitely not lost on me.

It hasn't exactly been a clean path. Fat Mike has been on and off through the years and they never stopped singing about doing drugs. That said I think they are vegetarians and otherwise relatively health conscious.

My opinion, and its very naive because I've only really tried the Vision Pro for this type of content, but immersive video is the current killer app for the Vision Pro. Sitting in the studio with Alicia Keys warming up for her tour was almost equal parts uncomfortable and amazing.

Tourism is the ONLY industry for many regions... I recently lived in one. Without it, the areas would likely not exist as places to live at all.

After testing one from my office out over the weekend, I think there are people with money to spare that will find this device worth owning for immersive content consumption alone. I found the couple of demo episodes Apple provided to be quite amazing/beautiful/immersive. If Apple is able to get exclusive access to various sports events to capture immersive video in addition to concerts and educational content, there are enough enthusiasts that would think it was worth paying the $3500 entry fee. Content is king! Guess we will see if Apple can make it happen.

That’s a nice thought but why would this technology be any different than any other? Perhaps OpenAI and Microsoft now compete with each other. Surely they won’t be the only players in the game… Apple, Google won’t just rest on their laurels. Perhaps they will make a better offer at some point to some great minds in AI.

Let’s be honest… the cat is out of the bag and now it’s a race. If Openai tries to regulate itself too much they will eventually be eclipsed by another player that only worries about gov regulations and possibly just accepts the fines like many capitalists. I say buckle up and get ready for some massive disruption! Better for the US (at least for us citizens) to lead the way and maintain the power of AGI than many other alternatives… let’s start working on the post capitalist society!
