I like this idea! Great name btw.

I'm having trouble dragging the objects onto there. The images don't seem to stay on there. When I let go of the image, it goes back to the menu area.

Also you should check out Canva which has drag and drop feature. Its more fully featured but i like the simplicity of yours. Its for quickly creating blog and social media graphics.

Thanks for sharing this. Looks really useful since I'm working on a drip email campaign. Have saved it in pocket for reading later since its so long! I've also signed up to GetDrip recently, its pretty good to use for drip marketing.

the landing page could also have pricing and contact us on the same page.

interesting idea! i think it would be great as a mobile app, so it could send you a notification if a language exchange partner is nearby.

I was also expecting a coffeescript & bootstrap mashup and was pleasantly surprised to find a language website!

Great response & bounce back after not getting into the incubator. Residen.se is a excellent idea trying to solve a problem in the lucrative real estate sector. I'm helping out Anthony, who is a good friend of mine and I use to share a house with him in Melbourne.

Sorry, bit late to this discussion. Took me a while to read through all of it. I think there is no one system that can teach languages fluently. As a language learner, I currently use a variety of ways - from speaking to native speakers, watching movies, using flashcards, playing games and listening to podcasts.

I'm also the founder of language startup called http://www.nativetongue.com If you are interested check us out. We combine language learning with gaming, to make it fun and addictive. We have the following apps available:

- Learn Chinese with Mandarin Madness http://itunes.apple.com/app/mandarin-madness/id494800742

- Learn Spanish with Spanish Smash https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/learn-spanish-spanish-smash/...

I think the ultimate would be learning like Neo in Matrix. Just plug a cord into the back of your head and upload the mandarin lesson module, and absorb it in seconds!

I agree with flights that involve multiple places. But there are also lots of RTW trip options. I've done a RTW trip myself with 5 destinations, and even then the options were a bit mind-boggling.

It was my first RTW trip so I spent a few hours looking up different RTW tickets, as well as figuring out what destinations to go to, how many stops were available, etc.. I ended up researching online, and then going to see a travel agent twice. I even brought an atlas with me the second time to see the agent! I also spoke to a couple of friends that have done RTW trips to get their perspective. Then you have to consider frequent flyer miles and what destinations, seasonality etc...

hey thats awesome! I've started following your journey via your LinkedIn blog. You also had a really good slide deck on China ecosystem. 29 country trip - that's epic.

Its a great use case for Flightfox. My gut feeling at the moment is that its better for more complicated trips - multi-hop or where there is some kind of complexity like carrying a surfboard or if you have several kids, etc...

Nice work Lauren & Todd - from a fellow aussie!

I really like how the message they put on the end of the email about how they will stick around and answer any customer emails. I actually took up their offer and emailed them back to let them know I like the product but it wasn't solving enough of a pain point for me to upgrade it. They got back to me immediately and said they'd keep working hard to solve that pain point for me.

I'm actually considering doing something similar in my next email newsletter, cause that's awesome customer service.

Its very hard to show a hotel as an icon, particularly as a building. We did it by showing a building with signage of a bed (showing a similar design to the cleartrip icon). People are used to seeing a bed and making the association. So going with a simpler icon without the building also conveys the same meaning as a hotel.

this blog post shows the subtly and intricate details required in good design and UI.

There's a range of options out there. These are some of the ones I've used / encountered

- from podcasts: Chinesepod - eChineselearning: skype lessons - Livemocha: connect with people from China and get them to help you out with exercises/voices - M&MX: http://www.mandmx.com Awesome comics and learn Chinese blog posts - Confused laowai: confusedlaowai.com

I'm also the founder of a mobile app called Mandarin Madness which helps you learn Chinese. Its a fun and engaging way to learn. Also, one of the most simple ways to start learning even if you are a beginner. Check it out here: http://www.mandarinmadness.com. I'd love to get your feedback! Contact me here: hello at nativetongue dot com for more info.

I'd tend to agree with CPops. If you have a reason to learn it will motivate you. If you have clients in that country or if you are intending to travel to a place, it will give you incentive to learn.

I might be a bit biased, but I'd go with Mandarin Chinese! A lot of people speak this language :)

I'm also the founder of a company called Native Tongue which creates vocabulary apps. It's one of the most simple ways to learn and fun to, so I'd invite you to try out our apps. Go to nativetongue.com and check out our mobile apps. If you have any questions, email me on hello at nativetongue dot com.

Thanks,

Matt
