I think the focus should be more on creating governments that are resistant to those forces. Contrary to popular belief, governments are the greatest force for good in the world, the best ones are the ones that are best at keeping capitalism in check, companies will always be vulnerable.

Unpopular opinion but I'm very much pro-china and anti-us because of this.

Thanks man, yea I also have mononucleosis antibodies which I think caused it (EBV IgG and IgM) which I think was the trigger for me (Glandular fever). Seems like that virus in particular lingers and reactivates in many people.

My current line of research is into treatment for that, I've tried all the usual antivirals but they don't do much, but there's several new actual vaccines being developed which I'm trying to get into the trials for (in Australia).

Would be keen to know more about his story, thank you

I wonder how close this disease, and the similar ones in the comments, are to a general 'chronic fatigue sydnrome' diagnosis is. Which I've been dealing with for a decade. Definitely a strong autoimmune component to it...

In case this might resonate with someone but from the 100s of tests i've done, the most significant result for me was a 5x normal renin, which led me to eventually try fludrocortisone, the first time i finally felt 100% relief but only for a couple of days before sliding back into fatigue...

Count yourself incredibly lucky OP that you both got a diagnosis and also have such support around you. It's tough out here

Ratings per dish instead of just the restaurant as a whole. 4 years in and working on a b2b intelligence offering for restaurants. b2c side has been too hard to get off the ground without solid investment and I've been unable to secure that.

Thoughts welcome :)

Highly recommend his meditation app 'Waking Up' in which he explains and teaches these concepts better than any source I've yet found

I've had similar symptoms for 7+ years now so it's most likely for life. Have seen many infectious disease specialists and CFS/ME is the diagnosis (same as long-covid). Mine seems to have been triggered by Glandular Fever (Epstein Barr Virus).

Exertion is the biggest trigger for me, but also the prescribed cure (Gradual Exercise Therapy). Alcohol is a weird one, I often feel better with a hangover than I do on a bad fatigue day (immuno-suppressant?) but then way worse the days after. I also have recurring Mononucleosis symptoms and have tried anti-virals to no avail...

It's so obviously immuno-related, really hope the science progresses soon.

Whats your thoughts on the dosage? They use 1g per kg of body weight! If I drank Monster to get the equivalent dosage I think I'd probably die... How did they arrive on that dosage?

What if you actually asked the students what they think the best approach is? I wonder what they'd have to say when confronted with optimizing their own education.

As a CS grad I often felt such a large percentage of the syllabus was legacy theory I'd (mostly correctly) never need. Perhaps this can be the positive impetus to get teachers to really rethink syllabuses from a more practical, useful view point. "here students, use ChatGPT and all the tools available to you to create x..."

Is it fair to say then that this is the 'fastest' ball ever?

Since perhaps the average speed of the ball in-game is around the transition speeds and so this ball's lower transition speed makes it overall faster than the ball with lower drags at higher speeds (since the ball is rarely at those high speeds).

You seem to have missed a detail in their replies "We confirm that your app has options to report and block abusive users but your app does not contain functionality to report objectionable content." You complain that they haven't answered the specifics of your emails yet you've actually failed to address theirs.

Unpopular opinion but it seems like their response was reasonable tbf.

Just wanted to highlight a relevant tool i recently discovered: Sentry.

It's already become invaluable in my .net apps for tracking down tricky errors, especially in the new MAUI apps.

Caught one just yesterday where the app was trying to call an api with decimals serialized with a comma because it was on a dutch user's phone! I imagine it would've been quite the headache catching that without sentry. Integrates with most tech-stacks too, not just .net btw

I remember stumbling across this site years ago, thought it was neat, and never thought about it again.

There's definitely a lot of untapped potential here. Could be so much bigger with marketing and R&D. A browser extension for example.
