Reminds me of when I used the Amazon.com AI Chatbot (was called Rufus and they renamed it to Alexa for shopping) to do things like write fizbuzz etc. Looks like they patched it to refuse though.

lol are you me? There was also a loophole with the coupons where it only used the total before discounts to validate the limit was met, so you could buy something that was $10 or 2 for $15, but the 2 would count as $20 towards your $40 limit.

I moved away from Seattle a while back so I'm not sure if they ever closed that one. I really miss getting all those cheap groceries!

Thanks for the feedback!

I know, the spinner looks terrible! I just haven't gotten around to making it look better since most people will probably use the bookmarklet if they use it at all. Same with the I'm feeling lucky button, just wanted to make it easy for people to see the proof of concept without going to twitter, copying and pasting.

Heh, I was mainly out to beat my co-workers, though if one of my co-workers was a fellow programmer I'd probably have had to improve on my algorithm.

I just checked my old archive folders and it looks like the code was lost when Dreamhost borked up my home directory a few years back. I assure you it was pretty gross :)

Pretty simple to do using Chrome's network inspector as well. I found that Turntable had made it pretty easy to save songs as well, but changed their scheme a while back.

Also, kinda disappointed to realize that Rdio no longer does the auto-renewing free music thing :(

Sort of lost his credibility after he revealed that he was canned. If you're spinning your wheels at a company and hate the culture, why not do something about it? You're as bad as the useless meeting-goers if you can't actually do something and simply complain all the time.

For what it's worth, I was at MS for 7 months. Left on my own volition and now I'm heading up iOS development at a small startup. And it's a lot of fun.

I love that the image has a status message saying "I'm hosting game night tomorrow night" and that the message was posted "five days ago." How useful!
