I bought a new car and have since decided I would prefer an older car. * The features are annoying and you can't disable everything you don't need. I had to download an app and by a connector to disable the warning message that told me not to crash everytime I turned the car on. There's still plenty of things that I can't disable. If I want to turn off the centre console (which is most of the time), it's several clicks through a clunky ui. * It only looks nice when it's clean and keeping a car clean is not something I want to invest my time in. * It's too powerful, so I can't really give it a bit of a push without going well over the speed limit. * it aluminates the logo onto the sidewalk when I park. Very embarrassing. * it's heavy which you can feel (despite it being a tiny new gen car).

I preferred my old beater that I could just thrash around. It's worth having to deal with some sort of mechanical problem every now and then.

You have too many things on the go at once. Do less at work, delegate all your chores to your wife, and send the kids to boriding school. Problem solved.

I tried it and it found businesses near me. When I asked how it knew where I lived, it said "You didn’t say, but your request triggered a location-based search. The search engine likely used your IP address to estimate your location. I used the results it returned."

I do this or emails I want a response to and know the person is busy. I don't use threaded emails, though, so I bcc myself on the email I send and snooze that instead.

Good point it being something you need to do. I will just add it to my todo list. If you can't progress with your work until you have the input, is there a good way of chasing it up when dealing with someone unreliable but senior?

That's a good one. I was thinking more along the lines of something low effort that I could do at a desk or on a couch that will still lead me to improving a skill of some sort.
