The title wasn't a joke. I love the way the interview is presented. The team clearly put a lot of time into it. I especially love the collage they created of a bunch of the women who have attended Ladies Learning Code workshops. It was really unexpected, and I was blown away when I saw it yesterday morning.

They're planning to work on this at AngelHack in Toronto on the weekend. As someone with a lot of content creation responsibility (with Ladies Learning Code and HackerYou), I think this tool would be awesome. Thoughts?

Seeing projects like this come to the surface makes me love living in Toronto.

I've been using Hackasaurus to teach kids for a while now (as part of a project I'm working on for the Mozilla Foundation, and also through Girls Learning Code, the tech camp I run for 9- to 13-year old girls), and they just love it.

I'm wondering if you have any tips for people who want to apply to YC with a non-software idea? Or some info as to what they can expect once they get there? It's got to be a different experience.

As a follow up, it's also really hard to read the type in their "our Team Values" slider on the "About" page. It's pretty distracting. Since Lore targets people who create courses (who are often middle-aged or older, which sometimes comes with declining vision), legibility should be a priority when they consider their website.

Yeah, I can barely read the type! I thought there must've been some mistake, but I guess it was a specific choice that they made. If I were Lore, I would change the type to dark grey or black right away.

Heather Founder, Ladies Learning Code

Hi there! I'm Heather, the founder of Ladies Learning Code. Men are welcome at our events, and we have had a few men attend each workshop. The name was designed to be a specific invitation to women, but we don't exclude men. (That being said, I personally support the idea of separate men's groups and women's groups in general, so I encourage someone to start "Men Learning Code" if they are so inclined.
