Try to get your first client before even starting. Call people you know that might need help. Once you actually take the plunge, make sure you tell everybody you know and be visible where it counts, online and offline. Try to build a name. It takes time. A consultant broker or similar could help you find gigs at the start too. Good luck!

Stockholm native working as a dev for 5+ years here. I'll just add the only two things I see missing from previous posts:

You won't make any friends among the natives. We'll have a beer with you after work but don't expect anything serious. None of my friends have foreign friends. Can't really say why this happens though. We are pretty reserved.

Nightlife is not snobbish as somebody else said. There is the whole range from dive bars to upscale to any kind of nightclub you can think of. It's similar to most bigger western cities. Also, I've noticed the variety and quality of restaurants are outstanding in Stockholm when comparing to most places I've been.

In Stockholm, sweden it depends on your network. I can access stuff on my phone but not my broadband.

How is it with plugins and Scalingo? We use a lot of heroku plugins for mongodb, logging, monitoring etc.

I've had it for 10 months. My fingers don't have the accuracy for it. It blows my mind how they could make them tighter than all the other keys. Why not tighten up all other keys too and save even more space...

Don't praise the keyboard, please! I have a 2014 Thinkpad and the weak screen, low capacity battery, the fact that it wakes out of sleep only when it feels like (at other times I have to remove and plug the battery back in to get it started), and the crappy wifi is not even close to being as annoying as grouping the arrow keys with PageUp & PageDown. Take a look at the screenshots, they're even tighter than the other screens.

This is my story every day: "you wanna go left? No you wanna go PageUp!", "You wanna go right? Here's a PageDown for you!" "AAAAAAAARRRRGH"
