Meta Ray-Ban Display 10 months ago

It's actually the 2rd generation now, or even 3rd for the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2). First generation was Ray-Ban Stories.

I was curios what does the code do and asked ChatGPT.

  Summary of Functionality:

  • This code seems to perform a sequence of loading data from memory into registers, performing bit tests, comparisons, and conditional branching based on the results of these tests.
  • It appears to be part of a loop or some repeated operation, as there are multiple backward branches that seem to control a flow of tests and memory manipulations.

Being agree with all 4 points I see two drawbacks:

1. Not using OEM widgets. Even the rendered widgets may look good, they can't beat the native widgets optimized for the particular platform.

2. The choice of Dart as the main language.

I can understand both points though

It would be awesome if they also support Android (and other platforms), which I think they will eventually do. You would design once and get the same look across all the platforms.

Early this year my father was diagnosed ALS. During one year his hand muscles are completely gone. Though the legs are still OK but the disease does progress rapidly and it's just matter of time.

This is terrible disease. I know how hard it is for his family.

Wow, this is an impressive list. Appcelerator looks good, but very pricey though. Why would you choose it over the others? The free version is the Titanium which is basically a Javascript SDK for native apps.

I think most of side-projects are meant to enjoy the process of building and try new technology. So I would not want a friend to build "my" side-project using his skills and choice of technology. It's something I need to build. I enjoy the process.

JQuery knobs 14 years ago

One use-case would be setting clock time, though with some modifications. I had such control in mind before. I think for some of us it would easier to make two clicks rather than enter numbers.
