When I meditated a lot, I was able to sit in a cafe and listen to 3 conversations without switching and be able to understand them and remember them all. It happened to me few times. Also, once, sleeping in a tent, a voice from a dream interfered with sound of raindrops and became distorted and I woke up scared only to quickly get what just happened.

Doesn't seem like solid reporting on the facts.
I once fell for three mini docs at the beginning of Magnolia movie. Only years later did I discover they were made up instead of being real. One must be careful with those artsy people.
I think one danger with cosmologies like this is there’s an aspect to them where people could become mistakenly convinced of their own powerlessness as a way to explain in grand terms personal failings.
This is crucial point.
I recently switched to almost exclusively using vifm with some zoxide/fzf extra commands + some custom previewers/openers.
Also, once you _had_ to run them. Lost my collection years ago and never found some of my favourites again after that.
Compare, for example, to (beloved and useful) Sleepbot Environmental Broadcast (https://www.sleepbot.com/ambience/broadcast/) and Ambience for the Masses (https://www.sleepbot.com/ambience/).
Absolutely. This brings nostalgia and pushes for heads up at the same time.
Bitly does that, just add '+' to Bitly URL (probably other shorteners, too).

You're not exactly new here, afaict...
Strange things happen when you sit without moving.

Thx for posting this. `It was fun, but worthless. IDK, that's my life, that's my whole Being.` What a fantastic person, Ken Thompson. The way he is shows so strong in this short clip. Gonna look up some biography of him or sth.
I understand first example. That's one of many, tiny, little things in the area of automation, say like 'advanced scripting'. Your second example is indeed advanced.
What I can see myself trying to do is some new ways of working with body of text notes. Local RAG for chatting with documents is also interesting.
And yes, with 'subscription based computing' shreds of privacy we had are gone.
Can you list some useful things you can do with such models which are beyond 'fancy' use, like image generation, or standard chat (which is subpar compared to frontier)? I use my RTX4070 (12VRAM/64RAM) mostly for STT, though I am having real trouble to set up working environment for any Whisper derivatives after migrating to Fedora.
I would really rather read his guide to learning English.
Two days ago I created HN new comments highlighter with hiding of old comments - took me 2 prompts and ~ 10 mins + some clean up. https://github.com/gala8y/hn-comments-highlighting-and-hidin...
So, not bad in terms of 'manual' update, but still needs some of your time, right? Anyway, interesting to be able to see these posts in this way. Nice work with tagging - will check/explore how these work.
Cool. What do you mean by 'manually' and 'some' delay?
If you have a list of posts you pull data from, it would be nice to have a simple clickable list of them all on a separate page. Also, (month year) could go next to neat 'View on HN' on each item.
Do you parse all 'What Are You Working On?' posts (see https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46266893)?

Did you know that a not jailbroken smart TV would spy on your HDMI, if connected to the network? I did not.
1. on A9 near nurnberg we caught a ride with a musician from munich (he played trumpet and showed us his music when i asked if he had any recordings in the car). it was heavily raining and it was late in the night. as we were approaching munich, he got off the highway and i was worried how we were supposed to get back on the highway in the middle of a effing night, but he just drove home and we stayed overnight. we ate breakfast together with the whole family (wife, kids) and he drove us off to the nearest autobahn entry on his way to the conservatory (he used to teach there) - we were going south, to italy. that's first top of my head, surely there is more. good times. we connected, big time.
There is a lot of quality content on these platforms, no doubt. I would much prefer to be able to download a reel or a whole account easily (using, say, Instaloader), without needing to climb their gardens' walls (obviously something which gets harder and harder), instead of their UIs.
Yeah, slowly going through https://walzr.com/. Definitely not his first rodeo.
Thanks for posting. So much knowledge and skill required to create such a video.
Actually, it does not.
I will switch soon, just need to collect all stuff and find time. Waited a bit for nvidia drivers to catch on as I want some models to run locally.
Thanks for the talk. I tried to learn how bad X was in terms of security and it wasn't easy to find anything concrete. Took me a while to realize it was a mess.
Look up "macropads" on the Internetz.
