I think you're right. Thanks.

they allow selling your game on other websites, but not for substantially cheaper. Isn't this what Wolfire Games (Overgrowth, Lugaru, Receiver) sued them over?
they’ve been buoyed by a general acceptance that once they come to fruition, the world will never be the same.
a GENERAL acceptance? Citation needed.
If you're really planning on kicking some official's ass, you'd better do it quick before your feet are shackled.
And let's not forget that the bots doing most of the upvoting and downvoting are more likely to upvote bot comments, driving the algorithm.
The internet as a public forum is dead. And given the purpose of something is what it does, this is the true goal of AI. I'm certain blowing up the internet benefits very many wealthy and powerful people.
Something like this could do without the selfie cam, or bezels in general.
Pretty sure minecraft has used borderless full screen for a long time unless you go out of your way to tell it not to. Lots of platforms, services, and applications have been deprecating exclusive full screen over the past decade or so.
Kickstarter gadgets aren't meant to be useful, they're meant to tick boxes and look good on Kickstarter.
It's about boosting attack surface. Trust the plan :)
the OS handles these now by installing the malware. Zero click.
I wonder if that still works on Wayland WMs
reminds me of an old meme
have "problem"; don't care: no problem
We cannot design a probe that travels at the speed of light.
And if you don't think this is half decent, just replace "now" with "soon".
see, you keep saying that, but it never comes true. First of all, you suggest that just because progress has been fast up to now, it will continue being fast. I think that's something like Gambler's fallacy. Secondly, the progress we're seeing is not like linear progress to 100%. It continues to get certain things extremely wrong. This might be half decent today for fooling the elderly, but it's not a good look for artistic expression or even marketing for that matter.
For me it's as if I'm missing a muscle in my right hand. I can do the Vulcan salute just fine with my left, but not at all with my right. I simply don't have the same input responsible for that specific motion. I have no trouble typing with both hands or doing most tasks, as we're adaptable, but it's still a physical limitation.
Here's an experiment - place both of your hands flat down on your desk, and on each hand try to tap your ring finger on the surface without lifting or moving any of the other fingers. I can do this hard enough to make a noise with my left, but not with my right.
I wouldn't touch that with a 39+1/2 foot pole.
The current state of the global economy is dizzying. Of course the market has no top because fiat has no bottom. But still,,, dizzying.
"I drank the kool-aid and I am very smart."

it's not enough
because as a reader, bags of sugar are more engaging to me than bags of concrete.
tbh this should accept all dictionary matches
It's true; I also started reading the comments before clicking the article. Show of hands?
I think we should only be recommending MIT Scheme. Everything else has got too much going on and can become distracting, for the purposes of education.
if they fire everyone and stop spending money, only making money, their PnL ratio will be infinite!
I've always wondered why they use belts when it seems helical gears would offer much more stable playback and better longevity. Is it just cost?
It's almost certainly how all the button elements on your phone and computer currently work... Keyboard, homescreen, hamburger menus, links, you name it.
I wish I could click the picture to pop out scale to full 1x
Good Lord what is happening in there?
These screenshots look awesome. Definitely checking this one out. Thanks for this!
