-OSSEC - log + file system security monitoring (http://ossec.net)

-Snort - Network-based IDS (http://snort.org)

-Sucuri (not free) - web site monitoring (http://sucuri.net)

Try OSSEC: http://www.ossec.net (open source log-based intrusion detection tool).

That can be very useful as an intrusion detection system if your pages are modified without you knowing it.

I heard the same thing in the past about Nintendo and Apple... They are dying, will never come back, etc.

Not saying that Yahoo will recover, but you never know.

Maybe we should have an RSS feed only for the new stories for people to upvote..

In some aspect it might. Most non-tech users never used RSS before, but are now following their favorites sites on twitter. So, instead of pushing them to using RSS, they will just use twitter for that..

At the end, I think that twitter will take some users away from rss, but never kill it.

I like their new logos. As everything google does, it is simple and clean.
