It's interesting that they portray self-driving capabilities as something that can be turned on or off, unlike Google's where it's just always on.

I think in the long run Google might be building the correct solution for greater number of people.

The most effective way that I have used: 45 minute work, then 5 minute bathroom break + stretches, then 45 minute work, then 15 minute break. Repeat.

The key is to understand that your body needs many little break from time to time, regardless of what your brain thinks.

I think there is something to say to how the media is portraying bloody rivalry between tech companies. I'm sure most of them don't have the same tension we have in media, and they are all hang out with each other.

As an anecdote, I know that Steve Jobs used to hang out a lot with Bill Gates and Eric Schmidt, and I also know a few Microsoft employees who are really good friends with Apple and Google employees.

Parse 2.0 10 years ago

I'm curious as to why you decided to left out push notification. That was one of my favourite Parse features, and I think it's why a lot of people use it.

Was it too hard or time consuming to re implement?

I'd like to add that this is a great example of how a great In App Purchase can be utilised in place of free trials. People are so against IAP because of companies like Zynga, but there are good examples of IAP like this one.

TIL, interesting. I wonder if they are keeping it just in case one day they need to ship other apps in Windows (e.g. Xcode, Mail, Reminders, etc)

Isn't this the time when Mac App Store supposed to shine? When they found something that's dodgy and linked to a company that has apps on App Store, can't they just turn on the kill switch? That way the malware won't have anywhere to direct the users to.

If I told you to buy $10,000 of Blackberry stock today, would you do it?

Buying AAPL in 1997 is as crazy as buying Blackberry today. The difference is Steve Jobs, but some people thought he was nuts too back in 1997.

Sorry to be this guy, but how much are you earning from your side projects? And also how do you know which side projects to work on?

I've done a few side projects before and it hardly earns me any money (< $500 revenue per year). It really destroys my motivation when the cost of hosting/etc are even higher than my revenue.

Maciej finally bought an iPhone! When I met him last year in Australia he uses his 15" laptop to check his tweets.

I told a recruiter this one day, and all he said was: "Telling you which company we are recruiting for is like you giving everyone on the street your source code".

Oh well.

I don't understand the concept of interviewing not for a job but for a slot in a pool of talent to be assigned only after I am accepted.

You have no idea how many big companies are doing this just because they can afford to. I don't understand either. I would never interview for this kind of thing again.

Murray, I am glad you renamed it to Feedback Fast. This was one of those cool things that I wasn't very comfortable sharing on my Facebook, Twitter, and among my family members. I hope you'll get more traction on this.
